Product fired right up and has all the features we would need if there is an emergency. This is my first generator, and I like that its powerful and can run a long time. I couldn't figure out why my fridge kept tripping the gfci outlet, and later learned that most newer fridges can't run on a gfci. I'm going to get adapters for the 30 & 50 amp outlets so I can get more use out of this generator.

I haven't run it under a load yet but so far everything is a described and it started quickly and easily and ran smoothly. The noisel level is moderate. With a little distance and some simple acoustical screening the sound is completely inoffensive from inside the house. The accessories included are fairly complete although a wrench for installation and removal of the gas line would have been handy since it is best to keep dedicated tools with the generator so you are never left short when the need to use the generator arises. Also the specs should include oil capacity (minor issue).

After losing our power for three days in July, we decided it was time to buy a generator. After much research, I went with this Westinghouse model, which should have enough power for our entire home. It can be powered by gas, propane, or natural gas, which makes it the best option in a portable unit. Assembly was easy and I attached a propane tank, pushed the start button, and it fired right up. Hopefully we won't need it much, but I'm happy with our purchase.

Generator was delivered with no noticeable damage. Opened the box and followed the instructions (Installed Feet, Wheels, Plugged Battery into the quick disconnect, Oil, and 1 gallon of gas. Hit the electric start, starter engaged but then engine did not turn over. Stater started to smoke a little so I immediately disconnected the battery. Tried the pull started and it did not budge. Took the spark plug out to release any pressure, tried the pull start again with the same result. Motor would not budge. Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Just received my 9500DF generator today, and it works like a champ! Initial startup took two tries, oil needed to circulate, but it cranked right up on the first attempt after that. The construction of this unit is very tough and is perfect for my construction site power.
