I just bought this generator after trying to decide between this one and the DuroMax XP12000EH. I eventually made the choice on the Westinghouse because I know two people that own them. They haven't had any issues with theirs yet. I haven't hooked mine to the house but did start it up and tried some power tools on it. It started right up and it works. It is not as loud as I thought it would be. My older and a lot smaller generator is actually louder than this one. So far I'm happy with the purchase.

This brand received high ratings when I was doing my research. It was fairly straightforward to assembly. The manual needs to be updated since the battery connection is now done differently since the leads are already connected to the posts. Now the wires to the battery are connected by male and female connecters half way along the lines.

I bought and assembled it with ease. Haven't used it yet, but there was a free item offer if I reviewed it while registering the product. It looks new out of the box. Having electricians come so we can wire it directly into the panel should we lose power. Once I get it up and running, I may leave another review.

I've been studying and researching generators for months, and found that the Westinghouse WGen9500DF is by far the best all-around generators made. Not only is it duel-fuel but it also offers the switch plate along with other convenient bells&whistles which make this generator super consumer friendly for the common family to use and rely on.

First off, let me start by saying set up out of box is a breeze. Instructions are very well explained. Love the flexibility of the dual fuel. Can run on stationary at the house on propane. If I need to be mobil with it, I can switch it over to gasoline for power. It definitely has the POWER. Powers an 1800 sq. ft. house without a problem - furnace, two refrigerators and freezers, transfer pump and lights. Keeps you rolling when the power is out. Happy in the country!

The WGEN9500DF generator is exactly what I was hoping for. I was impressed with the overall quality, looks and features this generator has to offer. The dual fuel option and electric/remote start made this purchase a no brainer, which allows my wife to start it without having to pull a starter cord. The 9500 to 12,500 peak watts it supplies is more than enough power to handle all the major items in my home. The initial setup was easy to follow in the instructions. I used a propane tank from the grill for the first startup instead of gasoline and it started on the first try with the remote starter. The generator was not as loud as I thought would be and it ran great for the time I had it running.

I purchased this generator several year ago as a home back up due to periodic power outages. This was probably one of my best purchases. Without fail, its starts easily and powers my entire home during outages. The ability to use propane is an even more attractive feature because it prolongs the life of the generator and avoids the need to store gas. All of my neighbors are jealous.

As previously stated in the section labeled “review title,” I truly believe this is a wonderful generator. My in-laws got us this generator for our house in case the power goes out and the remote start is very helpful during storms! We're working on hardwiring it to our house. It holds a large amount of gasoline so it lasts a while and we can run virtually our entire house off the generator when bad weather hits. Lovely product!!

We bought this (new) to prepare for another winter in South Texas, which may see some days without power. We tested it out and it works great so far! A couple of items that we noticed: -- The bottom frame was all scratched up, like it might have been used or beat up during manufacture (see pictures) -- The quart of oil provided didn't fill up the oil sump...only made it to the "L" reading on the dipstick -- First start was a little rough, but it ran great after a few false starts -- It is really heavy! Be careful trying to move this around. The wheels are plastic, but seem to support the weight sufficiently -- There are a lot of switches, dials, and widgets to attend to. Be sure to read directions carefully!

I bought this for an emergency backup generator. Runs perfectly on propane fuel. I can easily roll in and out of the garage as needed. Its nice to keep protected from the elements vs a permanent install. I can also take it to other locations as needed. No carbs to clean when it hasnt been in use!
