Got this generator before storm season. Very powerful but compact and easy to move with strong handle and large wheels. All controls on same side and with two fuels and three ways to start it should be easy to use. Glad to have a well-known company behind it.

We are running the generator to try and break it in so that we can put the cold weather oil in. The instructions say it does not work so well in cold weather. I called Westinghouse, which was not so easy to get through to and they said do not worry about it just keep it well maintained. Not very comforting to say the least as we get sub zero weather here. I tried to E mail them on this issue and they have never answered. It does seem like a fine machine though. it starts right up. I should review it in a year after we go through the cold weather. To be fair my research shows generators dont like cold weather. Pay attention to the pinch point on the handle which is well marked. I didn't and dang near chopped off my thumb. Follow the warnings!!

I ordered the generator three and a half weeks ago. Just got it today. Everything looks good, haven't put the oil in it yet Looks like a quality built unit . Had a little oil on the box and frame, probably from when the original oil was drained. I am excited about getting it running, but it is a rainstorm today

I bought this earlier this year and had two major power outages during the winter where the Westinghouse worked effortlessly. We run it on propane tanks and it runs well for 8 hours on one tank. The push button start makes it easy for me or my wife to start up and the handle makes it easy to wheel outside to run. We had a transfer switch installed in our house and the generator runs all of our major utilities and appliances (furnace, hot water heater, pressure tank, well pump, water softner, refrigerator, freezer, etc.) and most of the lights in the house, so when we are without power there is very little we have to sacrifice. So glad we bought the dual fuel model so we can run propane. So much cleaner and easier than gas and don't have to worry about leaving old gas in it and it not starting or needing to add fuel stabilizer to the tank for any part of the year.

The Wgen 9500df replaced our smaller generator. Purchased in mid December and it arrived on Jan 5. I did a 4.5 hour break in using propane. I had a small heater connected and varied the wattage from 700w to 1400w. The generator did great when it went from low heat to high heat. Sound is what is expected for a larger generator. At about 50 ft it was around 71 dB. We have lots of trees in our backyard so the sound will be muffled before it reaches the neighbors. This unit weighs 215lbs but the built in handles and wheels make easy to move around. I hope we don't need to use the 9500df but in the event we do, our home is ready.

I bought my first Westinghouse generator and it would not start. When I contacted Westinghouse, the support team was prompt in responding to me and got it right into a repair shop where it was determined that it was badly damaged in transit. I got a replacement generator right away and I'm ready for the snow storm that is supposed to hit this week!

I recently purchased this generator so I haven't had a chance to to use it during one of many power outages that I know are coming this winter. However my first impressions of this generator are Great build quality, it's packed with features like remote start and plenty of backup power, easy setup and it started with no effort at all. So far so good. Very happy with my choice to buy this Model.

I am going to connect this to the house using the 50w hookup so I'll update. Once I do. Out of the box, this unit has everything you need to get it up and running. It came with the oil so I serviced that after I installed the tires and support arms. Fulled with gas. Hooked up the battery. Hit the start button. Took less then 6 seconds and it was up and running. Haven't tried the remote start yet

I spent many hours reviewing generators. Ended up purchasing Westinghouse 9,500 dual fuel. Delivered within 3 days. Unpacked, put gas and oil in. Hooked up the battery. It started immediately. The battery and oil came with the generator. My son and a friend seen it and both ordered one.

We just moved to Northern Michigan from a town that rarely had power issues. We have been here 2 months, and already have had 2 outages. As I'm writing this review, the generator is running EVERYTHING. I'm so glad I have this right now, new neighbors are stopping by, and wondering why my house is the only 1 lit up.
