I have a large home, and I wanted a portable solution for powering only the essentials during the next outage. This generator is perfect for my needs! Powerful enough to run more than the average generator and dual fuel offers flexibility. 50A output is great for connecting my main panel via interlock. Westinghouse includes several small things that make this product stand out such as a battery charger and funnel for oil fill. Outages seem to be more frequent now, and I feel much more comfortable knowing I'm prepared.

Bought this on 8/19/21 .Out of the box just had to install wheels and add oil. About 15 minutes. Charged the battery up for about an hour. Added some gas and pushed the start button and started right up and ran smooth. I bought this one to work with a manual transfer switch. Will add another review when I lose power and put it to the test. I believe this is just what I need.

I knew I should buy a generator to keep my home powered and family safe during a power outage. Unfortunately, I delayed and suffered the consequences when a storm approached quickly. I bought this Westinghouse generator so I am ready for the next time. While I have not operated the machine yet, I was pleased that all the listed parts were present and the instructions are clear

I received the generator a few days ago and finally had the chance to unbox, assemble the wheels, and add oil. I had to buy another quart of 4-stroke 10w-30 oil because the bottle that came with the generator didn't seem like quite enough to be within the safe operating range on the dip stick, which is the only reason for 4 stars. Once the oil level was topped off, I connected the generator to an LP tank (I don't intend to use gasoline in this unit unless I absolutely have to because of the odor and issues with old/bad gasoline). It came with the proper LP hose and regulator for a LP tank which was nice. The electric start was great and after the engine turned over a few times, it fired right up. I put it to the test immediately and connected a 1/2 hp jet pump that waters my garden, and ran it for a solid hour. I'm so glad I have this for backup power to keep my refrigerator and freezer running, and have power available when I'm running jobs for my audio visual business in large fields and parks. I will need to keep the unit further away and with a barrier to keep the noise down when running for sound applications but that is a simple fix with long heavy gauge wire and a portable shield in front. The main thing is that I know I have sufficient power for my lighting and sound equipment to move some serious sound waves and also a home backup for the next time we lose power. A bad storm came through two years ago and trees were down everywhere resulting in loss of power for almost 10 days... I won't be without power this time.

ICHECKED OUT MANY GENERATORS AND DECEIDED ON THE DUAL FUEL ONE BECAUSE IF WE HAVE A POWEROUTAGE AND CANT GET GASOLINE ALL I HAVE TO DO IS USE MY BARBEQUE GRILL TANK TO HELP GET THOUGH THE ROUGH AREAS THAT COME WITH AN OUTAGE .ITS EASY TO FIRE UP THE UNIT AND USE IT

We just bought this generator. We haven't used it yet, but the size, weight and features are perfect for our use. We bought it for back-up power for our 5th wheel trailer. We feel much more at ease traveling knowing we have power when needed. It seems well built and good quality.

We purchased this generator for our 2nd home in the Sierra Mountains as a total back-up connectable to a transfer box that powers every appliance and outlet. This enables us to shower, cook dinner, wash clothes etc. The unit starts easily with battery and trickle charges when stored. Had a propane "T" installed for a quick-connect to our property propane tank. Looking forward to a good experience.

I recently purchased the 9500DF generator and I'm glad I did. I've already had to use it during a wind storm. The power was out for about 3 hrs and it was nice to be able to use lights, TV, fridge and well pump. Important features why I purchased this generator. Duel Fuel 50A receptacle. This allow you to take advantage of the generators full power. Remote Start 8hr run time at 50% load Soild built frame and engine While I don't want to have to use a generator, it's a fact of life where I live that I'll loose power at least 2 -3 times during winter. Last year an outage lasted 3 days. Wish I had this generator then. I'll be prepared for next one now.

Purchased the generator and test ran it without issue. Two months later needed it for a prolonged electrical outage and it wouldn't start. The start switch had failed and no power was going to the unit from the battery. I spoke with an excellent customer service rep who accurately diagnosed the issue and sent the correct replacement part. The swap out was easy and the unit has worked flawlessly since. I would have given this a 4.5 for the failure, but only whole numbers were allowed. Given the excellent response by the customer service agent, I gave the product a 5 instead of a 4 as I didn't feel a defective part should tarnish an otherwise great product. Excellent save by the Westinghouse customer service rep!

I bought this about a month ago due to our wonderful state and utility not being able to keep us safe from fires cause primarily by their negligence. OK I'll stop there. This gen powered my home very well. I was able to use everything I wanted to with it. It was nice being able to get up in the morning and just push a button on the phob to turn it on and then the same to turn it off at night. Great product thus far.
