I wanted a generator that can run our home A/C and other essentials during a power outage. The WGen9500DF right out of the box started right up by using the remote. It had to crank a few seconds until fuel primed - then started up fast. I tried a few starts no issue, instant on. We bought the ST Switch with Smart Portable Automatic Transfer Technology and hooked it up for a test. Simulated a power outage and as advertised the generator immediately kicked on by itself and provided emergency power. We simulated a power restore and it transferred power power back to the utility. Buy this if it is large enough (check your needs). Excellent product! I can't tell you about reliability over the long term as it is new for us but it works well. We will get a soft start for our A/C to help things along.... I am a design in a nuclear powerplant and this back up generator is a slick home back up system that is affordable. The dual fuel option is also a nice feature.

I've seen this generator in action during a storm where Texas was blindsided. It was big enough to handle the requirements in the house in singe digit temperatures with no power for four days. It was run mostly on propane because that is what we had available. It is relatively quiet compared to other generators I've come across with equivalent and less power ratings. I was so impressed with the unit, I had to buy one for myself in hopes I'll never need it, lol.

The first day I couldn't get it to start, but I contacted technical assistance and they walked me through what I needed to do. So I appreciated their assistance/help. Bottom line is I had to hold the choke in the cold start position (it's an automatic choke so it doesn't stay in the cold start position as it tries to start, the choke starts moving unless you hold it) and I did use some starter fluid and that was the trick of getting it started.

I just fired it up today using propane and it started in seconds, runs smooth and is much quieter than my old one at the other house. Plugged in my Milwaukee circular saw which draws about 13 amps or more on start. Going to wait on putting in gas until I need it in emergency. A real gem.

I am a licensed electrician and I recommend this product to all my clients . The generator has multiple receptacle configurations for small or medium to larger homes and meets most of my clients needs . I like the dual fuel feature for those that want to use propane the simple hookup and operation are easy and the fact that Abby tank of propane does not go bad sitting in storage .If you can fill your lawn mower with gas than you can fill this as well . This is a great generator. It's got the same features as the generic generators that cost more and it's a name I have heard of. Everyone has heard of Westinghouse. They could definitely charge more for this generator, but I'm glad I got at at the price point I did. A real bargain.

I bought this in November of 2021 and have used it to power my house as a backup generator. The electric start is a nice feature and it handles my entire house including well and heat without a problem. I highly recommend it. My brother has the same one for a few years now and he has never had a problem with his either.

After extensive research, I decided on the Westinghouse Dual Fuel Generator. I will warn you right off the bat, this is a Top Quality "HEAVY" Generator. You will definitely need help picking up and unloading the unit. Everything you need is in the box. It was very "EZ" to attach the wheels, hook up the battery and add the oil. I went on U-Tube and watched a video of the installation and learned a few short cuts. I have everything ready to go when needed. The biggest draw for me was having the Dual Fuel options available. If you live off the grid or down the street from Wal-Mart, power loss is very real. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this generator in advance of the 2021 hurricane season, to replace a generator that I loaned out to a relative last year and never saw again. It is heavy; I needed help to unload, unpack, and to install the wheels and brackets. I added a little gasoline; the battery had plenty of charge and the generator started up with the first try. I tested with a couple of 110v appliances- worked great! I do hope that I don't need it this summer, but if we loose power, I am very glad I now have this generator. I should have plenty of power for my needs.

I bought Generator for a possible Back up power source due to living in Fl.The product is very sturdy built .It looks very capable of handling my power needs.It should handle the things I need to get by with comfortably.I plan on using propane only,but will have standby gasoline if needed!It is great to have the option.
