Purchased last month. I love all of the features, especially the electric start. Our old pull start generator was difficult for the rest of the family to start, in case of emergency. Very satisfied with this purchase. Works as advertised and built sturdier than expected.

It took over a month to get here. Once it finally arrived (no thanks to Home Depot) it was easily assembled and fired up on the first push of the START button. No shaking or stuttering, and about as loud as the average lawn mower. It seems to be quite well made and the instructions are easy to understand. It would be nice if it came with the proper amount of oil (it takes a little more than the quart they provide) but it was good enough to get started. Inasmuch as the WGEN9500DF powers everything but my 60K BTU central air, I can say that I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

I received this as a gift for father's day. 5 days later, we had a power outage & it came in handy. I would've like for this to come with a 220 adapter to plug in to my house to power up items using my home outlets. Instead, i had to use an extension cord to my devices (AC, TV, Refrigerator, etc.

Received in good shape in shipping container. The cardboard underneath had some oil soaked in - not sure of origin, but hasn't seemed to be leaking oil since I filled the oil. Started up right away on propane. Electrician who was installing plug-in to house tested all outlets for power while running, and everything was up to spec. Generator seems very well-designed. The only issue I have is that if you use a 50 AMP generator cord with a male plug that is perpendicular to the cord (most common design), the wheel interferes with the cord as it extends downward from the 50 amp outlet, tilting the plug outward from the bottom as it tries to seat in the outlet. This requires trying to bend the heavy cord at the plug (no easy task). Electrician said that some people will take the wheels off and put the gennie on a dolly, but that seems too much of a PIA to me. Since the tires are solid, I may try to simply cut a notch out of the outside edge of the affected tire for the cord to lay in so that it doesn't have to bend as acutely. My advice to others would be to buy a generator cord with a straight/ in-line male plug if using the 50 amp outlet, which would eliminate the problem. Other than that one design issue, I'm very happy with this generator.

We invested in the WGen9500 because we live in a little log cabin in the big woods at the actual end of the power line. After coping with regular outages and dealing with the disadvantages of lesser generators, the 9500 is stout enough to power our whole house. All my long life I've appreciated the quality behind the Westinghouse brand from heavy WWII surplus to the solid products on which we now depend for comfort, convenience, and safety. Cheers!

Within a week of buying i got to test it out in a real world situation. Worked flawlessly to power my whole home. Ran my fridge, computers, furnace, garage, lights, etc. Nice design/layout, easy to get to the parts for any possible future replacement, a solid frame and good wheels. What more do you need.

I love that this generator can run off of propane as well as gas. It is easy to switch between the two, so we can be ready for long power outages. The remote start is also a bonus. I love the push button start feature. I could never pull start any generator we ever had.

My remodeling contractor had bought the same exact generator two months ago and has had nothing but great things to say about it.. I had the opportunity to try his out when our power went out. After using his, we went ahead and bought one for our house. The dual fuel feature is a real bonus, so you are not limited to one particular fuel source. I plan on using this for my house when the power goes out again. I really like the fact it is electric start and it came with a key fob, so that I can remotely start the generator. I would definitely recommend.

I have a older gasoline only generator but have really wanted a propane generator due to gasoline "going bad" after a few months to a year or so. This dual fuel generator is even better as I can run on propane most of the time but also gasoline if needed. I am still in the process of adding the connections to my house, but this should easily run everything except my central HVAC. I do have a small "window unit" AC to keep me cool if needed. I like this generator so much I bought a second one for my sister!

I bought the WGEN9500DF because of the frequent power outage we have in my area. This generator is awesome, very powerfull (can almost power the whole house except for the electrical furnace and hot tub) Very easy to assemble (took about 15 min), very easy to start, very easy to move, I love it!!! Can't wait for the next power outage. Also, I had a question about the oil that I should use so I called the customer service. I was able to talk to someone in less than 5 min. That is also very nice
