This generator comes with a remote control and that doesn't make sense. You can't start or stop the engine unless you physically attach or detach the electrical connection according to the operations manual. Also if running on propane you have to manually turn off the propane gas valve to stop flow. If you simply press start or stop on the remote without making the physical changes you run the risk of damaging the generator and in the case of propane you run the risk of creating a substantial gas leak. I ask Westinghouse what does the remote accomplish?

We were in the market for a generator that was capable of powering our home in the event of a power outage. This generator has all the features I was looking for and some I didn't know existed. The remote start is awesome and even works from inside the house with the generator in the back yard. I didn't expect that. Setup was simple. It started right up. No issues.

This generator is great! It is not that much bigger from the generator I am upgrading from although it's power output is about 33% more. The handle to move it was thought out well. It connects to the frame at two points which allow for better weight distribution and balance when moving the generator. The electric start with wireless remote is another great option that isn't common in generators in this size and price range. The option to run on propane is a nice option to have when gasoline pumps become crowded or gas itself is hard to find. Combined with a soft starter this generator is capable of starting and running my 5 ton AC which is something the generator I am upgrading from wasn't capable of doing.

Got this unit 2 days ago. Unpacked it from box and assembled it in minutes. Love that it already has a battery and charger plus push button start including a key fob. Tested it on propane after filling with oil and it fired right up and ran great. I checked the voltage outputs and frequency with my meter and they checked excellent. Will be easy to start and run periodically since I can charge the onboard battery and connect a propane tank in minutes!! So far... Great experience!!

We bought this in Feb & only recently used it for several hours! It worked great! No trouble getting it started, it ran without any problems! So far we love it! We ran TV, refrigerator, freezer, several lights, microwave, worked like a charm! My brother in law also bought one!

I purchased this generator to power our house in the event of an outage. It generates plenty of wattage to run all the essentials in our house. The instructions were very clear and even explained how to remove the neutral bond (which was important since it is connected to an interlocked load center). I poured some gas in it and it fired right up. The push-button start is also a nice feature. Only thing I would recommend is to run it a few times when you first get it and immediately change the oil after. I did this and the first couple times there was some metal in the oil from the engine breaking in. After 3 times total the oil was metal-free and I felt it was ready for use.

Had a couple of smaller generators and upgraded to this specifically because I plan on having a manual transfer switch installed. Ready for hurricane season and any other time we loose power. Will be running the generator today for the first time. Setup was easy and directions were clear.

I bought this generator to use as a full house backup power solution. I did a LOT of research on portable generators and nothing compared to this one when it came to features for the price combined with positive reviews. This generator had everything I was looking for including 12000 peak watts, around 10,000 running watts, dual fuel capability and a pushbutton start. It even came with one feature I wasn't looking for - the remote start capability. That's a nice to have feature that wasn't a requirement, but will certainly be nice to have. I also liked that it came with everything needed right out of the box, including oil with a funnel and a propane hose.

I bought this generator and if you can believe it, our power went out for 12 hours on the day this beauty arrived. The generator is perfect for us since it is portable and accommodate our three refrigerator/freezers. I love the features and did look at the thousands of five-star reviews. Well-built, remote start--so excited not having to worry about my expensive groceries being ruined.

This is a very nice generator. Assembly is straight forward, and operation is easy with the push button start. The included and integrated battery charger is a nice feature that will ensure it is always charged, and I like the flexibility of the duel fuel. Having the convenience of using propane or gas is a really nice feature that will help to ensure fuel is always on hand
