We have been on a waiting list for about 1.5 years to buy a generator. We live in a rural area where power outages can be frequent and long-lasting. We had tried to purchase a generator last year, and every store was sold out. We had it installed professionally by a master electrician and are extremely happy with our purchase. During the test, it started flawlessly on the first try using the conveniently included fob. We will certainly recommend this machine to friends, neighbors, and family. We will be able to face the next power outages with much less concern than previous ones.

Old 6500w generator was getting old didn't have enough power for the electric water heater. Got the 9500DF to power whole house and keeping the old generator as a spare. We normally loose power once a year 5 - 8 days. Dual fuel allows me to use Propane tanks from the bbq if gas is hard to find.

I am so happy about this generator. Westinghouse spared nothing on the quality of this unit. The instruction manual was very well laid out and easy to follow on the assembly of the unit after it was delivered. Follow the clear instructions to set up the generator for its initial start up, and it fired up perfectly. I was so impressed that they included a battery charge with this unit to keep the battery charged if your not running the generator on a regular basis.....Nice Touch! The quality and workmanship are above the competition on this unit. Tried out the propane and it was seamless switching from gasoline....not even a hiccup! Thank you Westinghouse...you made a lifetime customer out of me!

Other than a mishap in shipping it arrived in perfect shape. At some point the bottom of the box was punctured and caused a pinhole in the oil container. Only casualty was the loss of a couple ounces of oil and some messy cardboard. Put the feet and wheels on. Added the oil. Hooked up a propane tank with the supplied regulator and hose and we were off and running.

Purchased to use as a backup home generator. It works exceptionally well. The dual fuel capability provides excellent capability for any longer term outages. It was very easy to get up and running and provides plenty of power. The User Manual is very detailed, and at the same time, very easy to understand. I would recommend highly recommend this generator.

We've been having frequent power outages, and I needed a portable generator to help get us through. I've used other brands and different types of generators and so I have some experience with this type of product. We did quite a bit of research (and some math), and decided to purchase this particular generator. So far I'm impressed with the features this unit has. The build quality is very good, and the feet and wheels were easy to install. You probably own a set of wrenches, but they include one for the bolts and the oil drain plug anyway, which is nice. The manual is also well written, with good illustrations and instructions, including how to set the valve lash. Pretty rare in this day and age, and most appreciated. The generator starts easily both with the recoil rope, and with the remote start. I like how many outlets they provide, which helps you use all the available power if you don't hook it up to your house. I also appreciate that they installed a battery charger port and included the charger! That's a nice touch, and means that this generator is ready to go straight out of the box with nothing extra to buy. All I needed to do was add the included oil, add fuel, connect the battery, set the choke (only for a manual start, but don't forget this step!), and pull the recoil starter rope. The running generator charges the battery, and after that both the start button and remote start worked perfectly. The remote start fob worked from up to about 30 feet away, and also worked from inside my house. The day after it arrived we lost power for a few hours into the night. I used this generator to power our fridge and freezers, as well as a few lights. Not much of a challenge for a 9500 watt generator, but it worked flawlessly. Next I will try running my welder on the 240v/50a plug and see how it does. We plan to connect thus to our house with an interlock kit.

Just received. Easy to assemble and started right up with remote. Definitely a step up from other generators I've owned. Louder than I expected or wanted but I'm keeping it. Would definitely recommend hearing protection when standing within 20 feet of it.

Awesome piece of equipment. Completed the assembly as required and first push of the starter button, she was up and running and purring like a kitten. Put a small load on it to see how she runs and handles a load, was amazed. Have an older generator and every time you plug anything as small as a 100 watt light bulb up to it, it goes nuts. This thing purrs like a kitten and much quieter than my older one. Highly recommend. The electric start is definitely a plus, getting a bit older so don't have to worry about pulling a cord 5+ times to get her started. Highly recommend to anyone who is in the market for a larger backup generator.

I purchased this product after losing power this past winter....so excited about its features and ability to keep us warm (or cool) when the power goes out. Especially excited about the remote start and how easy it was for the electrician to integrate with the fuse panel, thanks to the product being transfer switch ready....

We purchased this for back up since we live in the country. Our first generator and are pleased thus far. A little on the noisier side but when one "needs" power for the given circumstance, noise wont necessarily be a factor. I believe one YouTuber rated this at 74 decibels. The wheels were easy to install as well as the 2 feet. The pop-up handle is a nice feature and allow me to move the unit with ease across our farm terrain. Running the unit was a cinch. Just be sure to turn off your fuel valve and allow it to use up the balance of the fuel in the line/carb so that things don't get gummed up. Front control panel is easy to navigate. Buttons seem solid. Electric start is a welcomed feature! One thing I would have changed is the location of the gas cap. I would have put the cap at one end or the other so that it makes a little easier to pour in. All in all, a great product for the money and we are very happy with our purchase!
