2nd westinghouse generator love them both!

My second This is my second Westinghouse generator. I bought this one to run my well when we lose electricity. It does the job with power left over for my household power needs. Couldn't be happier with this generator as well as my first one which I use to run my welder. Thanks for a great product!

Great so Far.

Bought the WGen9500DF. Unit was unscathed out of the box, very simple to assemble in 10 min max. Hooked up the battery, attached LP gas following the easy instructions. Unit started immediately, remote key fob works slick. Disconnected utility power and plugged generator into my house receptacle and had plenty of power to run all the essentials.

Easy to set up and use!

I was presently surprised how simple and user friendly it was to get this generator running. I love the convince of switching the fuels while running. also the entire generator is user friendly with controls and features located where they are readily reached.....built for convenience ! The folding handle is a great feature .

Well built and thought out.

Our Westinghouse WGen9500DF arrived 5 days sooner than scheduled, zero damage to the box or products inside. Followed the instructions to the letter and everything worked exactly as advertised. Seems to be a nice well built unit and is very simple to assemble and operate. Having three different options for starting is a major plus and the key fob works great! This generator is surprizingly quieter than expected and appears that it will be easy to service when needed. Ran it on gas and propane without any issues. The fold away handle seems strong and ergonomically positioned and was able to move the unit with ease. The metal fuel tank and roll cage are solid and the fuel gauge is large and clear.

Good, large generator

Nice looking and in perfect condition when it arrived. Came with oil, funnel, propane hook up hose, wheels, and has a folding grip to haul it around. It's heavy, but surprisingly maneuverable once you set it up. I got truck ramps to help move it up and down as even two people would have a hard time lifting this.

Love the dual fuel!

After having multiple storms cause major power outages in my area, making the purchase of this generator was a no brainer. Being able to operate off of two fuel types is a great relief due to the increases demand of gasoline during tragedies, I have my supply of propane to back me up.

Great quality

Bought this as an emergency power supply for my home. Upon unpackaging, I instantly noticed the build quality of this generator. Seems to be well assembled using good quality parts. Hopefully I never need to use it, but I'm confident that it won't let me down based on the quality and the positive online reviews.

Impressed so far

I just purchased this to replace an existing 7000 watt generator that provided 21 years (!) of reliable performance. Having just run that unit for a week straight during an extended storm power outage, it seemed like an appropriate time to retire it and get a new generator. After much research I chose the WGen9500SF. I wanted additional wattage, and especially wanted the ability to run on propane in addition to gasoline. I have a 500 gallon propane tank on my property, so with a longer hose this generator can be set up to run for quite a long while. The push button start and auto-choke features are both very good, and will be helpful in the event that other less technically inclined family members need to operate it. The generator arrived in perfect condition and compared to my old 7000 watt unit, the Westinghouse is actually a bit smaller, and a little quieter. Assembly was very simple and it is nice that the motor oil, funnel, etc. are all included. I've run the generator for 30 minutes or so- It fired up immediately on propane and once I realized that the duel fuel switch has to fully "click" to gasoline, it ran nicely on gas, and can indeed switch "on the fly" between both fuels. I connected to my home's manual transfer panel with my existing 30 amp connector cord and under load, the generator performed perfectly. Next week my electrician will be doing some upgrades so I can connect with a 50 amp connector cord and get the full capacity of the generator.

Great Generator!!!

This generator runs great and is surprisingly quite for its size. The builders put a lot of thought in the layout and construction of this machine. Love that is tale natural gas as an option. I would recommend this to anyone who is need of a large but quiet generator.

Awesome Generator

Got this in september, I have used it through 3 power outages now and it runs all the essentials of our small home with ease! (I have run everything in the home at once just to see if it could handle it, it will, but maybe avoid the dryer or stove) Have not had to run it off propane yet as it seems to be fairly fuel efficient and that is just a backup for me. It does struggle to cold start off battery alone sometimes, but thats probably more of a battery issue than the generator itself (I dont leave the battery tender plugged in).
