WGEN 9500 Tfc

Out of the box the generator ran on gas and propane. It will not run on natural gas and it appears to be a supply side issue. The current meter supports 250 cubic feet per hour and 5 psi. Our energy company is going to change this to 400 cubic feet per hour. If I can get back in, I'll update this posting.

Serves all my needs and more!

This unit has plenty of power to run most anything you may need during a power outage. The controls are easy to understand, and very easy to start. It has a large fuel tank for a long run time. It can get a bit heavy with a full tank of gas, but the attached folding handle and large wheels make moving the unit much easier. This is a well built/designed generator with some nice features.

Nice generator and Work as expected

I got it 1 month ago as a backup power source in case there is a power outage. Following instructions, it is easy to setup (just installation of wheels and feet) in ~15 min. Hooking up and connecting to our house gas line is also easy with correct adapter. Starting the machine with a simple pushing button, it works as expected. I just tried twice (each 30 min) when linking to my house electric panel with a kit, it can power my house (lights, microwave, refrigerator, etc). Happy with it. Waiting for the next power outage.

Easy setup. Good instructions.

Just install the wheels and frame feet, add the oil and you're ready to go. You'll need some 2x4 or 4x4 blocks if it's just you setting it up. It's heavy. Started right up on both LP and NG. However, I was unable to pair the remote electric start to the fob. It's nice that it came with the quick connect hoses. Remember to run the break-in oil for 5 hours

Great Generator

I've been using the Westinghouse 9500DHc for a few months now, and it's been an absolute game-changer during power outages. The dual fuel capability gives me flexibility between gas and propane, and the remote start is just awesome—no more fumbling around in the dark or cold to get things going. It has plenty of power to run everything I need at home, including the fridge, lights, Wi-Fi, and even the well pump. What really impressed me was how easy it was to set up—clear instructions, solid construction, and it fired up right away. It's also surprisingly quiet for its size, especially when using propane. If you're looking for a dependable, high-output generator that's still user-friendly, the 9500DHc checks all the boxes. Worth every penny for peace of mind and power on demand.

Everything you need for a generator

I just opened the box for the generator 1st time setup today. The manual guide is straight forward and easy to follow. It took me about 2 hours from cutting the box to getting it running on propane gas. To be honest you would need extra pair of hands when installing the legs and wheels. Other than that everything else is easy. I'm happy with the purchase of this Westinghouse WGen9500Tfc

Great generator

Like many I've been left without power too many times by storms and I wanted a portable generator that could run on natural gas to avoid having to search for fuel which becomes scarce quickly in emergencies. It was easy to assemble and started on the first try. I've only run it on natural gas, but don't plan to use the other fuels. The hose for connecting to natural gas is included, as well as one for propane. It's quite heavy, but much easier to move around than I expected with the included wheels and handles. It's as loud as expected - similar to other units in its size. I was impressed with how clean it runs on natural gas compared to the gasoline unit I borrowed during our last event.

Very simple to operate

My son helped me get the generator out of the crate it was shipped in, that was probably the hardest part of getting it set up for first time use! I was rather intimated by its size but once on it wheels it is very easy to maneuver. He walked me through the startup steps and I feel very confident that I can operate it in the future at any time day or night.

Solid Performer

This unit starts easily, and is simple to maintain. The tri-fuel option adds system resilience. I am connecting it to a natural gas line, for continuous fuel during an outage. Only downside is it is loud. I will solve this with a 1/2" plywood 3-sided buffer.

i like it

Bought in december and i just used this for the first time. very nice, worked well. remote start is a good feature as is the dual fuel feature. so i used it with my lp tank. fired right up and worked smoothly. i did think this was made in ohio, but come to find out it is made in vietnam. still, like it a lot. the four stars is because i only used it once so i cannot speak to long term quality, not because of where it was made.
