I bought a Westinghouse pressure washer two years ago and it has worked perfectly which helped us decide to buy the WGen9500DF Generator. We have dangerous thunderstorms in the Spring and Summer and Hurricanes in the Fall which cause lengthy power outages. A reliable generator is a necessity. We researched several different generators and the Westinghouse WGen9500 generator was reasonably priced and has performed just as good as the pressure washer. It was easy to set up with very good easy to understand directions. The controls are well placed and also easy to operate. I highly recommend the WGen9500 and the Westinghouse pressure washer!

I bought this for emergency power outages for storms here in Florida. Being able to run on propane is critical during hurricane season and this one runs on Gas and propane which is great. I'm having the power run to my breaker box later this week so all I have to do is connect it to the plug for quick use.

This is the best quality generator for the price I have found. The dual fuel option is a must as L.P. gas has an indefinite shelf life to store as compared to gasoline and in a power emergency gas pumps are down. There aren't too many generators with a duel fuel option available. The engine is too quality and dependable and is made in the USA.

I bought this last week to power my essentials (and more) during extended power outages on the Texas Grid. I live in rural area and have propane tank so dual fuel was a must have for me. Don't want to worry about gasoline during a power outage. Assembly and setup was quick and easy. Installing the electrical interface at the house took about 4 hours. I used a “generator interlock kit” from Areisal which is basically a safety feature that requires you to disconnect the main breaker before you can turn on the generator circuit. Adding the generator breaker required rearranging some existing breakers in the home panel. I installed a power inlet box on the exterior wall opposite the main panel and connected to the generator circuit with #6x3wG romex. Generator started first try with the remote and ran for about 1.5 hours at low load before my partially empty propane bottle went dry. I am getting a plumber to install a connection to my 250 gal permanent tank soon.

I received my WGen9500DF generator yesterday. I did a lot of research and this one had all the options I was looking for in a generator. I wanted dual fuel option, a remote so my wife could start it if I'm not around and enough power to take care of whole house. I'll be purchasing the transfer switch so I can just plug in and run everything in the house. I read through the manual a couple times to make sure I did not miss anything. It was easy to set up and started on first try with gasoline.

This is one of the best built generators I have ever owned. Solid frame that appears to be powder coated and not just painted. The wheel axles and mounts are rigid and solid. I also like the battery charger plug built into the panel. This is an all-around great dual-fuel generator and I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought the a few days ago and am really pleased with it. I hooked up a few items and let run about 8 hours and it ran flawlessly on gasoline I haven't tried propane yet but will soon to see how it works. I would recommend this generator and will be a returning customer.

Don't underestimate the importance of tri fuel. If this is a generator for home use, when you need it, fuel availability may be an issue. This generator can use gasoline, propane and natural gas and enhances the ability to locate fuel and use it in a difficult situation. The generator comes with a 30A and 50A receptacle for transfer switches. I found the 50A to be hard to find elsewhere. The electric start also operates by an included remote and there is a recoil start should it be needed. The generator arrives fully assembled other that the wheels and front supports. They are easy to install with the included instructions. The extras that are included are a propane line as well as a 25-foot natural gas line, engine oil, a few tools, and a very helpful operating manual. I was surprised by the footprint for this generator as it is relatively compact for a unit with this power and features. It will easily fit in a corner of the garage or shed and not be in the way. Portability is good as it has decent size wheels that make for smooth movement. There are some great features on this generator, and you can review them online as Westinghouse makes the operating manual available along with other information.

Works great for our purpose. Remlte Start is a must. 40 hours in, starting problems related to stepper motor choke operation. Trying to get resolved. Though Warranty info does not require registration, only proof of purchase, was surprised to find that it must be registered to get to a tech. Seems odd.

I am extremely pleased with this generator! Right out of the box I could tell that the craftsmanship was outstanding. The components are fit together perfectly and all parts are clearly labeled. The initial setup and startup directions are clear and easy to follow. It started up right away and has been working perfectly since.
