Well finally got my wife to let me buy this puppy. It's heavy! After putting on the wheels and foot pegs filled it with oil and some gas and connected the battery. Pushed the button and it cranked then cranked again and started. We will not be setting in the dark for 4-7 the next snomagedin. This puppy will handle it all maybe not all at once. But with proper power management frozen will stay frozen and house will stay warm.

This is my second Westinghouse generator. They are just so dang reliable without the higher price of the brand that starts with an “H”. My dad had been hinting that he wanted my original one, so purchasing the new one made for a good excuse. Ultimately, we both get new generators because that thing has been and continues to be solid as a rock! Everything about this new generator screams quality. Out of the box and initial start up she “purred like a kitten”. Best surprise ever, it has a remote control:)

Just received the unit, longevity is yet to be judged. However, several reviews online are good so I'm hopeful. Overall feel like a good unit, easy to start/operate. However, QC may be a bit lacking, mainly on the cosmetic side for now. I bought the unit new, but some spots were not completely painted over.

I haven't used it yet but I'm prepared for this years hurricane. There are a couple of things that I'm excited about on this generator. First, It's a push button start or key fob. As a back up it does have the manual pull start. That I hope that I never have to use .At my age, pull start is just to difficult. Second, is that it is dual fuel. I love that fact that it runs of propane. That makes storing it so much easier not having to drain gasoline out of it. The instruction manual is very detailed. This is my first portable generator. I feel confident that I can run it properly.

I decided to crank up my newly unpackaged generator today. The setup was easy and well documented. Once I had everything ready to go, and using the remote key fob to activate it, it cranked up readily. It was really neat. This generator has a bold and solid appearance, much like I would expect a generator to have. I started/stopped it several times, and it performed flawlessly. It has some weight on it as one might expect a generator of this size to have, but with the large wheels and retractable handle it was easy to maneuver. It purrs smoothly when idling. I am looking forward to hooking it up to my house electrical input to see how it performs carrying a load. But so far, I am impressed and pleased.

Haven't tried the generator yet because I just unboxed it. Searched a number of generators but came back to this one every time. I hope it works as good as the reviews say. Great looking whole home generator in a convenient small package. Far cry cheaper than a expensive larger unit that has to take up space in the yard full time.

I bought this in 2 months ago, in January. Already tested and completed wiring to connect to home breaker. Enough wattage to run most of the house and the 50v connection is greate for running items such as air conditioner and a few other items. Great price and the duel fuel will be handy for keeping the propane on-hand if there are periods that the unit is not used for some period of time. I will not have to store the diesel for a long period. So Far great investment. My wife has wanted us to get this for many years, especially when the electricity was out for days at the time. good wattage for the price.

Bought this generator since a while home generator was out of the question due to space concerns. Decided on the Westinghouse tri fuel generator for the flexibility of usage. Hooking it up was straight forward, fired right up! It'll be nice to have a peace of mind during severe weather and in the event of a prolonged outage.

Just got this generator to run my 50A RV and as a home backup generator. Have not had a chance to really use it for anything but so far its been great. Assembly was easy and I connected it to propane for the initial start. Fired right up. Put some gas in it and switched to gas from propane and it did exactly as described when switching and kept running. Switched back to propane and it kept running. Connected it to a small space heater just to test plugs, no problems there. I will give it a good test over the upcoming weekend but I am still in the 5 hour break in window so no large loads on it yet. I almost bought a cover with it but when you register and leave a review, they will give you one for free. Will see if that really happens.

Just unboxed my new Westinghouse portable generator 9500DF. The assembly was beyond simple (ANYONE can do in 5 minutes). The operation instructions were easy to understand. The diagrams and pictures were detailed and very helpful. Even “pairing” the generator to the remote key fob was a one button operation. Most impressive was it started right up…the first time…when I used the cold start choke.
