With the winter storm in Texas, I immediately did research on buying a portable generator for the house. One of the top generators (and at an awesome price) was this one here. Having received it and setting it up, I must say it's features are slick and exceeded my expectations on what a generator would have. The dual fuel feature is useful, and the electric start along with a remote switch is truly impressive. For someone who has never used a generator before, I was glad that this was an easy setup and that the instructions as well as maintenance are simple and easy to follow. Westinghouse has definitely left an impression on me and I look forward to using this product for any emergency as well as buying any other products.

This is my second Westinghouse generator. Because I have been so pleased with the first one purchased about 5 years ago, I purchased this larger dual fuel model. Extremely well made and great features. I really like the key fob remote start. This generator has all the power I need for emergencies. Instructions are well written and easy to understand. I also purchased the Westinghouse transfer switch. Again, repeat customer and no complaints.

Just delivered this morning in perfect condition. Put the feet and wheels on (do this first as you may need to tip machine on its side to accomplish this), filled the oil and plugged the battery cables together. Hooked up the propane cylinder and turned the fuel selector to "propane". Turned engine switch to "on" and hit the remote start button. Engine cranked over and... nothing. Engine cranked over again... nothing. Hmmmm. Scratch head. Oh, open valve on propane tank, duh. Hit remote start again and it popped right off! Tried a few of my power tools and I had power. Make sure breakers between the 120 V outlets are pushed in (reset). Have not run it on gasoline yet but expect no problem with results I've had so far. It seems like a well built, solid machine. For a dual fuel machine with fairly high output it is it is very reasonably priced.

I bought this generator to give us emergency power when we have the expected power outages. My wife who is 91, has emphysema. Her twice daily treatments require electricity. Also very important, is power to our heat pump and refrigerators. This generator uses both gasoline or propane which works for me because I have an 80 gallon propane tank.

Four bolts and two cotter pins, add some.oil and fuel, hook up the battery and away you go. Doesn't get much easier than this. It's plugged in to our 50 amp interconnect kit as a standby for for power outages. It should run just about everything in our house.

Recently purchased the WGen9500DFc and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. It was easy to set up and started on the first try. The power output is impressive, has provided reliable electricity for my home during outages and in N CA it happens often. I love that it has a remote start and stop feature. The durable construction and user-friendly controls make it a great investment. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a dependable generator!

I just purchased this generator and so far have not used it for its intended purpose--to run a well pump and be a backup generator for future house. My first impressions are pretty good seems well build and works well on propane. Even the remote start works very well. So far I am pleased with this purchase. The only issue I had is that the air intake hose was not connected to the air filter box. I had to insert it myself. Glad I noticed this deficiency before I started it. I am sure it would had run fine but the air going into the carburetor would had been unfiltered and any dust particles would had gone inside. Seems better manufacturing quality control is necessary. This is the reason for the 4 star rating.

i got this about 1 month ago. I run it on natural gas. set up was very easy. started right up Runs the whole house. Haven't tried the a/c yet . I have a work shop and it ran 2 240 volt heavy duty machines at once plus my household appliances. Heat ,stove, and water heater are gas.so no problem. I would not try to run my machines, the a/c and dryer at one time, but one at a time will probably work. I haven't had it long ,but so far seems like a good purchase .

I bought this for emergencies should the power ever go out at the house. The majority of the house is ran on natural gas so I feel as this will get me by with the basics. It was nice because it pretty much came with everything you need, including a battery tinder, besides fuel

Very pleased with this product. We have only used the gasoline fuel option so far, but the product has performed flawlessly. The remote start has worked every time out of the box without issue and the Smart Switch recieves 5 stars as well. Way to go Westinghouse!
