I ordered this unit toward the middle of December 2024. I picked it up on December 29, 2024. The packaging for the unit was superb! Assembly was exactly as depicted in the instructions. After servicing with oil and gas, the first start was via the remote fob . The unit probably made 2 revolutions before starting. Same was true when I started it on propane. Both times the unit started right up and ran smoothly. Good job Westinghouse!

Did weeks of research on generators to run my house in case of a power outage. I specifically wanted a dual fuel type and settled on the WGen9500DFc. Minimal assembly required. I was amazed how easy it started in the dead of winter on gasoline or propane. It runs very strong, and I also like the remote start feature. It has given me a piece of mind in keeping my family warm and the freezers going if and when I need it. I highly recommend this generator.

We bought this for the hurricanes in Florida, and it did not disappoint! It started up right away, handled everything it needed to, and was so easy to use. The set up was simple, storage is great because it's so compact and light, and yet the power is just what we needed.

At this time I am only giving a 3 star. Due to the fact that I can not manually start it with the pull cable when using propane. It will start manualy with the pull cable on gasoline with more than usual effort, then I would expect. But it will start at least manually on gas. I would like to give it a 5 star rating, but I am concerned about it not starting on propane using the manual pull cable. I would expect something better new right out of a box. Even the excessive effort to start it manually on gasoline. It starts with the starter and with remote key, both on propane and on gasoline. It seems to run really good and holds a good heavy load, which I'm impressed, at least about holding a load.

With 50 amp service: tri-fuel capable, this generator is perfect for a home with minimal heat loads (electric furnace/water heater/dryer; kitchen range; air conditioning?). I fully expect my expectations will be met by this Westinghouse quality generator.

Just moved to Tennessee . E veryone in the neighborhood keept elling me to get a back up generator. Lost power twice. Generator ran whole house no problem at all. Running off propane only. Have not tried gas. Didn't give 5 stars because I haven't had to run for long period of time.

The Westinghouse Generator Model WGen9500DF is a great purchase. It has all the bells and whistles needed to power your entire house during an emergency. The design, accessibility of all connections and ease of use are very good. I like the most the Dual Fuel feature which allows to use either LPG or Gasoline and it last a long time to get your through power outage and run the necessary appliances to maintain comfort. Very happy with this equipment!

I bought this a month ago, so far so good, I like the electric start. I tried it on propane and seems to preform well. I tried to use it with gasoline today and seemed to preform well. I did find a drip coming from the fuel shutoff valve. While turning it it appears to leak. the leaking stopped when it was off, however if you apply a little pressure to the valve it leaks. I'm sure it will need to be replaced in the near future, but if this is the only problem I have with it, that would be ok. Not sure if I'll do a warranty claim or contact them directly and request a new fuel shut off valve. They're simple to change.

We live in FL and after the 2024 hurricane season (where we lost power for a combined 12 days) - we decided enough was enough and invested in a generator. We considered an expensive whole house model, however ultimately decided that for a fraction of the cost, this model would more than meet our needs, for something we hoped to never really need. We chose this model specifically because of the tri fuel options - gas, propane, natural gas. During the hurricanes last year, finding gas was a huge ordeal - so having other fuel options was key - and since it is transfer switch ready, we can (eventually) hook this up directly to our house and power most of our home essentials.

I purchased this to replace a good-running portable generator that we've been using for emergency whole-home backup during a power outage. The old one had low hours, but we needed a more powerful generator to work with our well. Being tri-fuel, this generator makes it very convenient for us now that we can hook right up to our natural gas supply line at the house -- no more running to the gas station during a power outage. The build quality seems to be excellent.
