Unboxing and setup was simple. One gripe was that there wasn't enough oil supplied to properly fill the engine. The battery came charged and started the engine easily using both gas and propane. There was a small drip coming from the fuel petcock, but went away on its own without intervention. Lastly, there should be a standard equipped energy monitor in order to calculate the amount of wattage being used so you know how much more load the generator can handle. Over all I am pleased with this product. I will leave another review after I have properly broke it in.

We bought this generator after losing power three times within a two week period and it really saved us. It has lots of power, is easy to use and seems very well built. It arrived promptly and was very easy to assemble (my 16 year old daughter assembled it in about 15 minutes).

Did lots of research and wanted to make sure that I got the right unit. Had a whole house transfer switch installed. It powers the entire house, the unit started right up and was much quieter than the unit that it replaced. Was very glad it has dual fuel option. Being able to run it on propane is a big convenience, especially during major outages when gasoline is not readily available. You don't need city power to get propane and it stores more easily. My electrician said he has used this unit before and for the price and versatility...it is a great choice. Bravo Westinghouse!

The user manual looks like it was written entirely by a lawyer who has never seen let alone used a generator.The English language portion is 31 pages long and at least 85% "NOTICE" "DANGER" "CAUTION" or "WARNING" etc Additionally, it mentions things that it never tells you how to use or even where it's located like the "Eco Mode Switch." Also, it has a dial selector for the type of fuel that makes it look like you can "mix" the type of fuels but it never states whether this is possible or why they have a selector like this (maybe that's the Eco Mode Switch, nothing indicates that). As I indicated, this may be a decent product. I just finished using it for 5 days and it performed well enough but I don't really have any idea if I got the best out of it.

Bought this when I was tired of losing power multiple times per winter. Using it on propane seemed like a good idea, and it worked out well. The push button start is easy, the controls are intuitive and the manual was very easy to follow. Plenty of power to run my entire house.

I purchased this in Feb. 2021. I haven't needed it but I just started it up for the first time on propane. I had no issues but it will not start or run on gas. Customer service was very attentive and I am currently waiting for a technician to follow up.

After experiencing this past winter's record storm for Southeast Texas and being totally without power on a rural ranch for several days, plus the fact I'm in hurricane country, I decided to buy a generator in the 9500-12,000 watt class. I researched competing brands and initially ordered another company's 12 kw model. However, after it arrived with no serial number anywhere to be found, and the company's drop down registration menu didn't even show that model, I cancelled the order and sent it back. Finally, after additional research and talking to several people who own the WGen9500DF, I came to the conclusion that it is the best generator available in its power class, and the remote start/stop capability makes it even more user friendly. The generator arrived in perfect condition and took maybe 15 minutes from unpacking to setup. It started on the first crank of the electric starter and is ready to do its job when called on.

I'm surprised with the amount of items included with the generator. Trickle charger was a major plus since generator will be used on power outages. I'm glad I don't have to go around buying a battery, wheel kit, hour meter, trickle charger. Definitely the biggest bang for your buck.

I hate writing this because my last gen same model worked fine with no problems. Received the Gen today it will not start. Talked to tec support first person was no help. Called back after loosing the connection. This time they wrote up a ticket and said a tec will call be back at some time. I just don't know when that will be

Picked this unit from three different ones I researched for over a weeks time. Reason I went with Westinghouse was for a few things, warranty, reviews, dual fuel and key fob start. This thing is a Beast, running on propane tested with water pump coming on and the central air going, along with most everything else turned on in the house Fridge 2 of and a freezer it didn't skip a beat whatsoever!! I plan to switch to natural gas as I have that in my barn and don't plan running it on gasoline. Delivers all the punch to maintain the house with no worries. I would recommend this wgen9500df to anyone that wants a generator, this one is amazing!!
