I purchased this generator 3 months ago, and luckily I didn't need to use it, however I did turn it on twice just to run it. The first time it started up after a few times and I ran it for several hours. A month later, I tried running it again and it took a longer time to start it. After awhile I was able to run it for several hours. Today, I am trying again and it starts up, then shuts down after a minute or so. After I purchased this generator, I was asked to write a review and I would receive a cover for the generator, however I never received the cover. I also wrote the review based on the first time starting it. My brother is still trying to get it to start.

I'm extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of this generator. Dual fuel, remote start/stop and tons of power. Not too loud and starts up easily with the push of a button. Easy assembly, as well. Great price compared to other generators that offer less features and less power.

Bought this to replace 15 year old 5500/8250 gas generator that would power the essentials (e.g. furnace, well pump, select appliances/lights/outlets) during an outage. This machine provides an additional 4000 running watts and should give me the option of powering everything, perhaps not simultaneously. The fact that it gives you the option of using gas or propane, has both push button AND remote start and all the other bells and whistles gives mew peace of mind that my family will be comfortable during an extended power outage…

I bought this in January and I'm using it's pretty regular the only problem I see is with the CO sensor and it will shut my generator off even in an open area with the wind blowing. Other than that I can run it about 627 hours and only use 324 gallons of gas and it runs fine.

Wanted to try it before we needed it, but didn't want to leave unused gas in it for a long time if not needed in the near future. Added oil,checked battery, (was fully charged), and hooked up a propane tank. Turned battery switch on, set choke and pressed start. Fired right up and ran smoothly. Let it run for a few minutes with no load and shut it off. Next tried recoil start. Started first pull. Would have given five stars if it had been tested under load. I am more than satisfied!

I got unit going in gasoline mode by following good directions and it works good . Noise level is no more than my lawn mower and 110v power receptacle works fine. I will check it in Propane mode tomorrow when I get a propane tank. . Dont expect any problems.

I purchased this generator because it was large enough to run our house including our 5 ton AC system all on propane! It came packed really well and it fired right up. The less than 5% THD was another reason I purchased this generator. Very pleased.

I bought this Generator in November of 2022 and it's been great and easy to use, easily handing whole house power needs. I love how easy it is to maintain and change the oil. Only problem is that the starter had begun to fail after only few months of use. I'm now trying to get it replaced under warranty, it's not exactly a easy machine to move around.

Ordered the Wgen12000DFc that was upgraded to the Wgen18000DFc in 2024. My understanding is that the specs. were better than the manual previously stated. That being said, No buyers remorse. If your on the fence and on a budget, about a generator, you need to get off the fence and get this beast. I'm a one handed 68 year young man on a fixed income, this has all the helpful options to make a power outage as painless as possible. If I can work or move this thing you can too.

Powerful, efficient, and quiet! After extensive research, I found the W12000DF Generator is the most efficient on fuel in the class of its size... AND it's the best bang for your buck. Along with a great warranty, what's to hesitate? It provides more runtime on a tank of gas than other comparable unit I looked at. We also heat our home with propane, so this spring, I'm planning on running a line to the rear patio so there will plenty of fuel for any extended outage situation. There are plenty of outlets. The weatherproof outlet covers are a great feature, snap in place. We live in a rural area and the electric goes out every season. This past winter it was out for 5 days...frustrating as it is, but finally we can run our entire home on this plant alone...we have 2 separate electric entrances, and it runs both. Before, on our little generator, we could only run on 110; a few lights and no appliances; now we can run everything, including the electric range, water heater, well pumps and even my small welder (if I need it). For a portable unit, this Gen packs a great punch. It's heavy, but once in place, it'll just do its thing. I love the push button start and the remote start FOB...super easy; no more pulling recoil cords!...especially in freezing weather! If you use the remote start, the switch on the Gen will have to be "on", which means it will put a continual drain on the battery but just remember to turn it off when in storage. Comes with its own charger, simple to use. Battery is a little difficult to attach but it's kept out of the way and once it's connected, forget about it. The charger port is on the front of the panel so it's not a problem to charge it. I would suggest purchasing a transfer switch to compliment your unit. I got a 50 amp outside connector box with a twist-lock cord and hardwired the box directly into our circuit panels. Works great!
