I had 3 power outages in 2025 so far in southwestern PA due to severe weather storms on 2 occasions and a transformer fire on another occasion. The two storms left me without power for over 48 hours both times. I had to borrow a generator on all occasions being my house is all electric. I purchased this Westinghouse WGen9500DFc after researching and reading ratings and reviews. I haven't fully used it for a power outagage but did the it with some tools. It worked great. Note: be sure fuel switch is in the ON position when trying to start it for the first time. So far I'm liking the generator and feel confident I won't be left in the dark or cold if another power outage strikes.

I recently received this generator I haven't needed it for anything yet but setup was easy and I love that it runs on propane. It's easy to move around due to its large wheels. It is push button start and even has a remote. It has a pull start backup in case the battery dies. I'm very happy with it so far.

Finally got to test out the generator last night and was pleased with its performance. I love the fact that the generator is tri-fuel. We have it setup to run on natural gas and using the 50 amp port on the generator and an inlet switch we had installed on the house it was able to power two traditional fridge/freezers, a deep freezer, fans and lights throughout the house (5 bed/4 bath two story home), and a mini-split. The fact it has a breaker switch on the generator that'll flip if you overtax the generator is nice to know so we don't accidentally overload it. Just remember to flip the main breaker switch on the generator to the on position when you're ready to use it to power your appliances/house. I forgot about this and spent 15 minutes trouble shooting before noticing the breaker switch.

Last year, I was not ready for 2 hurricanes in two weeks. Helene and Milton packed a one-two punch that left me without powrer (I live on the central west coast of Florida). My mind is at ease now that I have this generator. Portable, remote start and dual fuel options won me over. So glad I bought this.

Pretty happy so far. Haven't had to use it yet but stored it for the winter and it started right up after adding fuel this summer. Ran it four a couple hours with no issues. Seems solid and full of features. As long as it starts and operates as it should when I actually need it, I'll be happy.

Let me preface this by saying i purchased this along with a Westinghouse14-50P to 6-50R adapter to make a portable welding setup. I wanted a larger unit that was dual fuel to be able to use with a transfer switch setup for my house if ever needed. Out of all the available generators on the market this came with what I felt was the most features at the best price point. After assembly and adding oil and fuel the unit started up immediately with the remote (I was amazed, I thought there would be a process to pair the remote). It ran flawlessly, I could not be happier with the purchase.

Purchased this unit as an emergency back up power unit. Due to hurricane season right upon us, I needed a tri-fuel generator that will run most of the crucial appliances in my home. Although the unit is very heavy, it was easy to unbox/unpack and attach the wheels and feet. This is the first step in the set up. Adding the oil was also very easy with the custom funnel and finally connecting the battery. I first ran the unit on propane and then on natural gas; the unit cranked up on the first try each time. It ran very smoothly. The electric start is very easy and a game changer. I did not run the unit under a load; I'll do this later. Very Pleased...I'm hopeful this will give me many years of service.

After testing the Westinghouse WGen9500DF generator, I can say without hesitation that it's one of the best backup equipment investments I've made. I bought it primarily as a power source for home emergencies. The Westinghouse WGen9500DF isn't the cheapest generator out there, but it's definitely one of the most complete and reliable in its class. It's perfect for those who want to be truly prepared. This isn't a lightweight unit—it's serious equipment for when you need real, dependable power without fail.

We just purchased this Westinghouse WGen9500DFc a week ago! We did thorough research and even spoke with other people that have purchased Westinghouse Generators previously, and they all said, "Do It"!!!! We've been looking for a while and finally decided to purchase due to all that is happening in the world now, especially with the extreme weather. We need to have a backup plan if the power goes out. We rent a house so solar isn't an option. And we have kids and two young cats and need to make sure we can still power up small appliances in cases of emergencies. Just received this gen last week and used it during a resent 3 day power outage to keep our freezer and refrigerator. Ran it on 20 # propane bottles. Unit started immediately and ran smoothly for many hours. Currently very satisfied but only have very limited usage.
