Wild Turkey Rare Breed Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 750 ml

For the price point this bourbon packs all the punches. Smooth, great taste, the right amount of heat. By far my favorite Wild Turkey product.

I have been a Rare Breed fan for decades. I consider it the lowest priced premium whisky on the shelf.

One of the best values for a higher proof bourbon

JR held a tasting for RB's debut and even sat at my table.... a true gentleman! I fell in love with Rare Breed at the time and was the only bourbon I offered to guests for years. Then there came the reformulation, proof was increased and the flavor profile went a whole different direction. It's not so much the higher proof but the "bite" is much more prominent. Now my guests turn it down. I've got an un-opened bottle that has sat for a long time on my bar. Six bottles of the original mix at 108 are in my closet waiting for the 6 that will carry me out the door. It was sad to see it change.

Loved the first version

OMG.  THIS IS WHAT BOURBON IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!  Don't question it.  Just buy it.  Find your favorite glass and sit, sip, and enjoy!  Don't question the man that has been there 50+ years.  Does anyone realize how many barrels Jimmy Russell has overseen in his time.  How can he not be the best?
