Started my bourbon journey with Wild Turkey 101 and graduated to Rare breed. While I have been into high end bourbons from other distillers too, Rare breed remains one of my favorites every day drink.

I love this bourbon! I sip it neat, and it is delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness, and as smooth as silk. I enjoy other bourbons too, but I haven’t found any that I like as much as Rare Bread. Great job Mr. Russell.

This has been a go to for years. Smooth with a bite, sweet full finish that will stick with you. A small ice cube unlocks the full flavor nice caramel finish. 10 out 10 recommend.

Multiple layers of flavors with a nice, long finish. Perfect proof. I always have two bottles in the cabinet. One of the best in my collection, especially considering the value.

At this time Rare Breed is my favorite bourbon, and the rye is right there with it! both are great sippin whiskeys! Below it mentions mixing and flavors. I say, this is whiskey, drink it straight!

If I had the choice of 1 pour for the rest of my life, rare breed would be it. Checks all the boxes for me. A little oak, spice, sweetness and some funk. And best of all, it’s attainable and at a great price. Did I mention… barrel proof too?

I had heard a lot of great things about Rare Breed, but I stayed away from it initially as I was scared of the proof. However, as I have grown in my bourbon journey, I found this is one I reach for often and an absolute staple I tell people about.

I've purchased on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Consistent taste from batch to batch and barrel to barrel. Jimmy Russel and crew sure do know what they are doing at the distillery!! Hang in there old boy.
