Reviews are very subjective and everyone has their say about the topic. Here's mine about Rare Breed. In early 2025, I was in a newly-opened liquor store and got into a conversation with another guy about bourbon. After we shared some like and dislikes he suggested I try Rare Breed so I bought a bottle along with a few other items. Later that night I pulled out a Glencairn glass and poured in maybe two fingers of Rare Breed. I noticed that this bourbon is "thicker" than others, it's not watered down. After I rolled it around the glass a bit I took a small sip and "delicious" came to mind. It's so good and it's not real sweet, it's just what I wanted. I have never tasted top-end bourbons but I really can't imaging them being any better...smooth, not hot nor brash, just delicious. I'll say this too...I think Rare Breed defines great bourbon. I repeat, It;s Delicious!

Was always more of a scotch, Irish, Japanese whisky fan. Then I had my first taste of Rare Breed about 4-5 years ago. I swear it was like soft alcoholic butterscotch and tasted way under the listed prof. And though I know my latest bottles do not taste the same (sadly), I have a bottle by ready at my home.

Recently I've grown partial to barrel proof bourbon's. I first bought this because I love the 101 so much that the barrel proof should be better and I was right. Very good flavor and I love the bottles on this and Kentucky Spirit. Wild Turkey just makes good bourbon, that's all I can say. Recommendation is to drink it straight.

Finally bought a bottle and couldn't be more impressed. This bottle is one of the first ones I reach for. The nose had all the notes you want and they always match the sweet and spicy punch that I get on the pallette..great finish that hangs around just right. All around, Rare Breed is top 3 all time for me.

This is my go to sipper at the end of the work week. Perfect proof at 116.8 Flavors are full and robust with an extra long finish on the palette. Full of oak spice,cherry tobacco,with a hint of sweetness. I always have at least 2 backups of this bottle in my whiskey collection

Dows bourbon have a heart and soul? I say yes it does, especially this wild turkey rare breed.! Everything about it is superb, the vanilla, toffee, and caramel notes, the thicker viscosity, the richness and complexity are startling. Truly an excellent bourbon to be savored with a cigar or some chocolate or straight up or on the rocks. You can’t go wrong with this one….. worth every red American penny.

This is my go to bourbon. I have spent years trying different brands and different products within brands. This in my opinion is the best out there. For me, it is smooth and just the right amount of spice. No harshness. This will always be in my cabinet.

Amazing bottle. Classic Turkey notes but toned down and a bit smoother for the proof. 75% Corn, 13% Rye,12% Malted Barley Color: Bright Amber. Scents of caramel, toffee combine with a hint of orange zest. A little oak, but it doesn’t overpower the other notes. The proof is present, at first, but the ethyl alcohol aroma fades quickly. The higher proof point will be evident with a deep inhale. The taste is sweet and spicy with notes of rye spice, maple sugar, and caramel. a slight hint of tobacco provides a layer of depth. The finish is long, lingering and pleasant. The viscosity of the bourbon is noticeable in a pleasant way. This is a solid pour that deserves a place of honor in any bourbon collection.
