These are not the usual Jack Links Original Jerky snack packs!! Sam's changed these but they look very similar to the old style. These are more like a ground meat Slim Jim... They also have a terrible smoke flavor added and taste nothing like the normal Jack Links Original Jerky. If you like the Original Jerky DO NOT buy these, they are very disappointing. If you look at the pictures you would never know unless you looked very closely in the store that they changed it...

I've been buying Jack Links beef steak for years and always have them onhand. They changed the recipe and it's AWFUL. The sticks got 5g smaller, but they added 3 steaks per box, so that's a wash. However, the new recipe has increased sugar and adds 2g carbs per snack. Smaller, yet more carbs?! Not cool We eat meat snacks bc they're low in carbs!!! The worst part is the smoke flavoring. It is so overboard that you may as well eat ashes from the bottom of your grill. Here's the difference -- OLD: Beef, water, salt, flavors, brown sugar, spices, MSG, sugar, sodium nitrate. NEW: Beef, sugar, water, brown sugar, salt, smoke flavor, maltodextrin, MSG, flavorings, citric acid, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrate.

This one is formed from meat pieces and unlike the old. It is machine formed and the taste is way different than the original 12 piece 1 oz packets that sams carried for years. . Avoid this as it is terrible/ too sweet and just mashed and spread meat strips.

I can't fully give these 5 stars because there are cleaner/healthier meat stick options out there but Sam's doesn't always carry them. I go to the other warehouse store to get the ones we like. Having said that, my kids would like to get these more often because of taste and texture.

These used to be actual strips of beef and were very good - I bought them often. They have been changed and are now chopped and formed into a strip that is overpowered with nasty smoke flavor. I will never buy these again unless they bring back the old style of actual beef strips. I would suggest everyone reconsider before buying these. To add insult, they raised the price $3 for a much inferior product.

They have changed this beef jerky! I have been eating these for years and then within the past year, they changed this product. The texture is really chewy/hard, it smells different, and doesn't taste good anymore. Highly disappointed and will not be buying again.

Love Jack Link's. Tasty and low cal high protein snack.

I did not find this beef stick very tasteful. It was kind of rubbery and had a different odor.
