We bought this pergola from Backyard Discovery and purchased the assembly package with it. We love it and it was worth every penny to have it put together for us. What took them two hours to put tougher would have taken us days! The guys that did the work were very professional and polite. We even had them come back and put the polycarbonate to on it. Now it's out backyard Oasis!

Pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and condition of the contents of the shipped pergola. No missing parts and all components were in excellent condition. For such a large amount of wooden parts I expected to find some pieces in either warped or cracked condition. However every thing was in great shape and all parts fit as designed. No holes were miss aligned and all hardware worked as designed.

We are very happy with this pergola! My husband, who is very handy, was able to assemble the pergola by himself over two days (not sure this would have been the case with a larger structure). Instructions for assembly were clear and well organized. Highly recommend!

We spent quite some time searching for something that truly reflected our taste, yet would stand the test of time. When we finally found it, my husband assembled it with ease (with a little help from our sons-in-law). He finished it with the recommended lacquer, and the result is simply beautiful—better than I had imagined. He placed it thoughtfully where our two wisteria plants grow, training them to climb and frame the structure. It has created a stunning, peaceful shaded retreat, reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside—right here in NYC. We absolutely love it and look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

This pergola more than met our expectations. The only issue we had was that it was delivered earlier than the estimated delivery date and we were out of town but they left it where we wanted and in the end we’re glad to get it earlier than predicted.

I purchased the Pergola about a month ago while on vacation and fortunately a neighbor was able to put the two boxes into my garage until I got home. I finally was able to put it together with my wife's help and now just waiting for a patio to be built with footing before we put it onto it's final spot. It was a good DIY Project with a few difficulties but it was engineered well and was easy to follow the directions on paper and combined with the Built App.. I put a coat of waterproofing on the pieces before putting it together using a BEHR Water soluble, transparent product. It looks great and we look forward to having it in our yard for years!

The pergola is beautiful. The pergola arrived in four boxes. Nothing was damaged, no parts were missing. The setup instructions were easy to follow, Sine the pergola is made from cedar the individual parts are not overly heavy. My wife and I set this up in a day. We couldn’t be happier. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pergola.

The package was delivered on the day promised. It was put in our driveway so we opened the boxes an carried the parts to the back yard, which was supper easy since the parts are light and sturdy. My 16 year old grandson did most of the work because I am limited on how much I can lift over my head. We did the assembly is less than a day and it looks great and really sets off our concrete patio. to

This is a nice, solid pergola. Not too hard to assemble. We had a handful of teenaged boys figure out the assembly with a little adult guidance. Took about 4 hours. We had created some concrete pedestals for anchoring in advance which worked well. It looks good and is quite nice for the price. The reasons for only 4 stars are the hardware and shipping, Some of the screws for the top pieces are a bit cheap and strip easily. We ended up replacing some with higher quality ones. For the shipping it took double the expected time and we received no advanced call about the curbside delivery as promised. I just happened to look out the window and see the truck. If I hadn't been home, they would have just left it on the curb unattended. Other than that, it's a solid item and would consider buying again.

I shopped a lot of pergola kits and feel this one was a very good value. Assembly took about 7 hours with myself and my wife. Using the Bilt app on a tablet is highly recommended, since it's much easier when you can zoom in and rotate to see how parts go together. No issues whatsoever with holes lining up. The one problem we faced was getting the two end assemblies upright and connected together with the side rails. It would have been far easier with three people - two to support the end assemblies while the third person installed the side rails on top. The instructions don't give any tips. We managed, but it wasn't pretty! I also question how, once fully assembled, it's possible with two people to mark where the plastic feet should sit, move the pergola to anchor the feet and then put the pergola back in place. The pergola weighs 400 pounds. Our patio is shaded from the prevailing winds by the house, so we'll take our chances and not anchor it.
