We've tried and occasionally still try the less expensive and generic brands. They never seem to do quite as good a job of cleaning everything in our always full dishwasher.

This is my go to dishwasher detergent. I use this on dishes as well as my pots and pants with caked on food and this ALWAYS does the job and scrapes away any burnt on food. It also has a nice smell and leaves the kitchen smelling clean!
