Thank you for your feedback on our JBL Tune 520BT. Please check the equalizer settings of your phone and set it to default. We also recommend trying to connect your headphones to a different device or playing audio through a different application to identify if the issue occurs across platforms. Reset may fix the issue, much in the way rebooting a computer or phone fixes many problems. And then you will have to manually re-pair again. To do this, turn on your headphones then press and hold "Volume +" and "Volume -" for more than 5 seconds. It will turn off, reboot to factory default.
