Not what I hoped for. The frosting loops fell off the cake, not an attractive look for a birthday celebration. Pretty sure the cake had been frozen then thawed in cold case. The shopper that pulled my order didn't check dates, I picked up a cake that was on its last day of sell by.

Ever since Sam's released this heavenly lemon pound cake, I've been hooked. The icing is a perfect balance of sweetness, lemon flavor, and consistency. The cake is always moist for days after purchase and its bursting with perfect lemon flavor! My new #1 cake from Sam's don't change a thing and keep it in the bakery please. My last #1 was the 3-layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Amazing!
