This salmon melts in your mouth & has the most delicious, buttery texture with a smokiness that's very light and doesn't overpower the delicate flavor of the fish. It's delicious on its own, or on sourdough toast with chive & onion cream cheese & a sprinkle of Korean chili flakes!

have been buying this product for years and now, sadly, something changed. MUSH. I am aware that the product was "previously frozen" but you can only do this to this salmon once. If it goes through a freeze thaw freeze cycle it will turn to mush and for the past year or so, it has become very difficult to manage the contents. If this was received frozen, keep it frozen. It will not be as mushy. Very difficult to separate the individual slices without it just falling apart.

The taste and price work for all of us. I highly recommend this, especially as it is more budget friendly than other available smoked salmon or lox. We buy this much more often than we ever did the “fancy stuff” . As a multi-generational family we have a variety of tastes. Smoked salmon is welcomed by all ages. My grands, teenagers now, know the difference but would rather have this more often that wait for a special occasion to have Nova lox. The grands actually take the “time” to put a bagel with fixings together than just grab cereal or nature bar…. A solid reason to keep my Sam’s membership as the cost savings alone pays for that and their bagels are pretty goods as well.

It's a very good product, especially for the price. It's not that salty comparing to the similar products but unless you do it yourself all smoked fish certainly has salt. Goes well with cream cheese, potatoes, salads when you can control amount of salt needed.

I read the other reviews about this being salty but decided to try it any way. They must have gotten a bad batch. I found this to have a wonderful smoked flavor with almost no salty taste. I will definitely be buying this again. A great value for a wonderful product.

This is some of the best smoked salmon/lox we've had, excellent flavor and texture, not slimy. I would have given it 5 stars except that in July of 200 Sam's Club stopped including the white expiration date labels so I'm now afraid to purchase them. If Sam's starts to include the expiration dates, I'll start buying these again.
