Smoked salmon is one of my favorite foods, and this is the best - and best value anywhere. I have been buying it for years and found it to be consistently excellent. It also freezes well, so I divide the large package into smaller portions and freeze. It should be consumed or frozen within a week of package opening.

The whole family loves this product and my 3 year old daughter is a picky eater! She eats the salmon all by itself, and the rest of us enjoy it on bagels and cream cheese.

The salmon is so good, tender and not too dense, not too salty, pulls apart like bacon strips. Can eat it right out of the package standing in front of the refrigerator lol but love it on a good crisp cracker smeared with a little cream cheese.

This smoked salmon is fully cooked and delicious on a healthy low carb salad. I’m not usually a smoked salmon lover because of the slimy texture, but this is firm, perfectly seasoned and ready to eat.

The first time I had raw salmon was at a breakfast in Paris. At least I thought it was raw. When I arrived back to the states talking about how absolutely delicious it was, friends couldn’t understand what type of salmon I was referring to. Fast forward 16 years and it is still one of my favorite snacks, but I now know it’s smoked and not raw. Absolutely delicious with poached egg and toast or on a cracker with cream cheese. Packaged conveniently, but I remove and place in sealed sandwich bags to maintain freshness. They don’t last long, however, and I’m thrilled our local Sam’s offers them. Highly recommended.

Occasionally I enjoy smoked salmon with cream cheese on a bagel. I don't do it often because it is expensive and of variable quality - if I buy it at my regular supermarket. There, it comes in small, expensive portions. This full pound, by comparison, is much more reasonable and stays fresh in the refrigerator. I seal it in ziploc bags and enjoy it for more than a week.

We used to love this salmon. The last 2 purchases have been off. The taste and texture are not right. We will no longer purchase.

It smells quite smokey. Af first I thought it had gone bad. The taste and texture are just below average (fair). It is edible. Usually I love my smoked salmon with avocado, but it just did not pair well with this salmon. I would recommend leaving it out if its package for like 20min before using bc so that the smell can dissipate

We eat a lot of smoked salmon. The new Members Mark brand smoked salmon is not the same as the prior brand in the white package. After reading other reviews I decided to try it. Well, that little test was a complete waste of money. The salmon is so salty you can hardly eat it. My husband who loves salt and believes it is almost impossible to over-salt food agreed it was too salty. Additionally the texture of the fish is best described as squishy and not at all like the many other brands of smoked salmon we have eaten. Would have rated this a 0 if possible.

I've been purchasing another brand (20oz) smoke salmon for years. Looks like that product has been discontinued in Sam's, so I bought this 2 weeks ago. However, this salmon is way too salty to eat. I almost had a heart attack by 1st bite. I'm wondering if salt is used here as a cheap ingredient to purely make salmon weight more. Otherwise, I can't think a reason to make it unbearable salty.
