This recipe is the same as the old Schafers Bread here in the Detroit area and Northern Indiana. Specifically Soft-N-Good bread. It's always fresh and freezes very well. You might not be excited about the carbs but like all foods eat moderately. You can't beat this bread if you're craving a pb&j sandwich!

I love sauteeing these in butter, olive oil. I love eating them plain sauteed, pr as a grilled cheese. Cheap and keeps me full since I am very poor.

This is the best bread. Always consistently fresh and slices are mostly the same shape.

I have always loved this bread, but a few months ago, they changed their recipe. It is not as fine textured as it used to be. But, the taste is still great and It doesn't smell of preservatives like many store brands.

The bread was fresh until the third day

Just like a lot of items ,taste and nutrition has fallen to a new level.First time on a long time to buy once again.

I bought this because our usual bread was out of stock. That was a mistake. There were holes throughout the loafs and slices would fall apart.

Bread had green mold all over both loaves of bread the day after we bought it and it was not expired
