Hard rotation

I bought this over a month ago, takes 4 weeks to make compost. However handles are to far apart for a women to spin.

Air holes

Very few air holes compared to other compost bins; so it is a wave of stink when you open it.

Time Saving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been composting for years and I've never gotten around to purchasing a bin. This bin makes it so much easier. It keeps odors at bay and the woodland creatures out. I just take my compostables (ie: coffee/tea grounds, fruit/vegetable peels) out every couple of days and dump them in. Then I give it a spin. I love it! Definitely recommend to anyone who's thinking of composting. I received this Good Ideas Compost Wizard Jr Garden Compst Bin from Influenster for my honest opinion. *Chocolate Lab for scale

Great quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good Ideas Compost Wizard Jr. bin arrived in great timing & condition. It’s heavy duty, made in the USA, & I love the wheeled base that allows for easier rotation & aeration. This is my first composting bin so I am anticipating Spring’s arrival as I’m hoping to have my first compost by then. However, I’m sure this will be perfect for year round use also as I’ve read lots of reviews from others raving about how this bin lasts for years & am also very excited to figure it out for myself.

Pleased with this compost bin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have a garden, no matter how small, you need a compost bin. Mainly in TX! We finally got one and are so excited to finally be able to put our scraps, leaves, grass clippings to use. This bin is large enough for us and our needs, we put it together in 30', just put the bin on its base and voila. It rolls very nicely and easily. It has several small holes in each side for air. However , iwith holes on the side it won't let water out much ( if you throw some with your scraps). It might be why there are tiny flying bugs in it) We filled up 1/3 of it so far. The big con is the lid, which screws to the bin, and it is not always easy to make it fit. It's A little frustrating to figure out each time we close it back, I have to use both hands to make it fit, and it takes several tries. Once it's on, it screws back nicely.

My review of the black plastic composter

There were no surprises with this composter in its design and construction. Composter was loaded as soon as I returned home with it and it is working very well with kitchen scraps and vegetable garden waste. The instructions for use did not include adding dirt to contents and my experience is that dirt helps keep moisture in contact with vegetable matter for faster, more complete decomposition. Some variety of insect has deposited eggs in the contents, resulting in maggots breaking down everything inside very quickly, something that never happened with other composters I've used. And, no irritating flies have come from these worm creatures. My future plans involve placing composter up on concrete blocks for easier loading and unloading. Gardening friends will hear of my positive recommendation about this product. One point to remember is this composter requires some effort to turn, so lazy gardeners probably will not be happy with this design. One of the reasons my wife and I garden is physical activity involved in having the high quality food and enhanced appearance of landscape of our home.

Great product!!

I have had this composter for approximately 3 weeks now and I am very pleased with it thus far. I raised the unit up on some cinder blocks so that when the compost is ready I can unload it right into my wheel barrow. Everyday or so, I go and rotate the barrel and I am extremely pleased with the results. I had previously owned a square composter that had to sit on the ground and it was so difficult to turn the pile that I hated it, but with this barrel design turning the compost is a breeze.

Easy and critter free

So easy to use! Just unscrew the top and dump your leftover food scraps, etc., and then securely screw it back on. Rotate it once a week, which is easy. Critters can't get at it at all. It makes lovely rich compost for your garden or flower beds. I love it!
