I bought this compost bin a couple of weeks ago and have been very satisfied. It seems durable and it is easy to use. It fits well at the end of our two raised garden beds & looks neat, not tacky.

Very easy to use, not too many moving parts to fall apart.

Bought this in May 2017, very sturdy. Nothing to assemble. Lots of room. Rotation is easy. My only complaint is the screw on lid needs a better design. The nubbin grippers on top are hard and slippery. Especially with gloves on. A bar across the lid to turn would be better.

The ventilation/drainage holes an the sides are too large allowing many flies to enter/exit the the composter & muliply. I had to spray the the flies because there were so many. I filled most of the holes with flexseal & that eliminated the fly problem. The composter requires moderate effort to turn when it’s filled with fresh material. The large opening makes it easy to load and the screw lid is secure.

This container is large and gets the job done but there are a few points of contention that i have. 1-when it is more than half full it is difficult for me (a female) to spin. 2-the base that it sits on does not stay solidly still. It will move around and not stay properly in tracks. I had a miracle grow compost container previously and I actually liked it except for the lid. It was difficult to pop open and my son sat on it and cracked it so i could no longer spin it without it leaking. So I was very please with the ease of this container's lid-no hassle or strong arming it. Basically i swapped out set of problems for another when i tried a different container.

Works well but everything gets hot and heavy fast. Bugs do get in. Otherwise seems to be working well.

I would have given it one star but the size is nice and the concept it great. BUT the wheels keep coming off of the bolts. I have tried tightening them, spinning it in the opposite direction, turning it around, nothing worked. It get pretty heavy when full and trying to take it off the base to put the bolt and not back together is nearly impossible. I would have returned it but it has obviously dirty and I didn’t keep the box. I will stick to my compost bed instead.

The vent holes are rather large. Which just allows for slightly more insect activity than I desired. And the nuts will spin off the bolts causing the wheels to not stay on. Requiring constant re-tightening or some loctite.

Price was reasonable but sloppy drilling of holes and using cheap hardware.
