Besides, as you can see on the bottom, the small holes on the iron base plate expose the aluminum bottom of the piece to the air. The exposed aluminum oxidizes in the air at high temperatures due to its nature. Therefore, after repeated use, the aluminum at the bottom will discolor. However, we have a tip for you to clean. Baking soda: Mix a suitable amount of baking soda with water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the oxidized aluminum surface, let it sit for a while.
