Granted, these don't last as long as the standard heavy duty hoses. However, they are so much more convenient, that I buy them. They may only last a couple of years, but they don't kink and aren't as heavy and bulky as regular hoses and are far easier to store.

When I picked up the box, I looked everywhere for a disclaimer of whether it was drinking water safe and found no such disclaimer. Most manufacturers state this on the package. It wasn't until getting it out of the box and ripping the plastic bag apart to get to the pamphlet to find the big warning that's it's NOT DRINKING WATER SAFE. I bought this for an auxiliary hook up hose for my RV as some camp sites have the water hookup rather far away. I'm very disappointed that they couldn't put this info on the outside of the box and wasted my time. It may be fine for watering your lawn, but I won't water my vegetables or my dogs with this hose. It's going back and I'll go with a fabric hose instead.

Hose works okay for a sprinkler but do not ever close the water with the shutoff valves. I used this hose 4 times and each time I would shut the valve on the hose to go turn off the water. I shut it just now and it formed a huge bubble in the hose and before I could open the valve on the hose again it popped. If you just need a hose for a sprinkler that is always open to water your lawn or let kids run in it this is the one for you because it does shrink small for storage but if you need an actual water hose that is sturdy shop for something else.

It's been a year in April since we bought it and the off/on valve cracked a few months ago and doesn't seem repairable. The good thing is it doesn't leak if it's all the way off or on, only halfway, It could of froze last winter but in the ball valve? I did drain it before the freeze.

Warranty emblem on the box says 5 years; hose burst today after 1 year %26 3 months. Manufacturer is a conglomerate and sells many brands. Manufacturer does not have warranty claims information for this product, only the other products sold under different names. The hose was great while it lasted. Is 1 year use worth $60? Sure I live in an extreme heat desert environment, but I'd at least like to be able to be denied a warranty claim, rather than being lied to that there are 5 years to use the product before it bursts under normal use. 1 star for 1 year use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this expandable garden hose because I decided to try my hand at raising a garden this year and quite frankly, I hate rolling hoses up. So far this hose does what it says it will do. It is lightweight and I don't have to worry about rolling it up or the mess with a water hose laying everywhere. It works with normal hose nozzles. It is doing good with normal water pressure. So far so good.

This hose saves me so much time everyday and just makes the whole process less laborious. Without water in it, it's very light so I can unroll it and get it into place quickly without the challenge of the weight of a regular 100 ft hose. Once the water is added the hose quickly expands, I can do my watering and then for pack up I simply empty the water from the hose and it automatically shrinks and I can quickly store it away. If you are looking for convenience I highly recommend this hose!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hose is such an upgrade from our old rubber hose. Just the fact that it is easy to store and wrap back up is a time and energy saver. The length is perfect and it is fun to watch fill with water and move like a snake.

I purchased 2 each of the l00' and 50' hoses. One hose was run over at the brass end and the shut-off valve was broken. I contacted the manufacturer by telephone and was told they do not have replacement parts for the hose. For that reason I am somewhat unhappy with the hose. I do like the way it curls back up when it is shut off and is convenient to store. If I could find a replacement valve I would give it a 5 star rating.
