This mattress is fantastic! I wake up more rested and without the usual soreness in my hips and back. I love this mattress! Life changing!

My ex wife and owned Stearns and Foaster years ago, I purchase another one 6 years ago. Very comfortable!

Sterns & Fosters Estate Ultra Firm mattress is so comfortable that my sleep has improved. I now sleep soundly all night.

The mattress was good, but we wanted something firmer. It was just not for us.

I purchased this mattress from Mattress Firm. I explained to the salesperson I had chronic back pain and he showed me the Stearns and Foster. Of course, the mattress in the showroom was very comfortable, but when I got the mattress home, and layed on it, I knew something was wrong. I could feel the coils just from sitting in the bed. My back pain increased dramaticly from sleeping on the mattress. But, I realized the mattress I laid on in the showroom, the top of the mattress was dark blue (which was the Lux). After I realized what I received & what I layed on in the store was different, I immediately called the salesperson. I was told since I got the mattress on a deal they wouldn't take it back. I even went as far to as to speak with the manager...I was told he was the manager. I asked him if he could speak to his manager and explain what happened. I called back and was told that there was nothing they could do because I got the mattress on a deal. WOW...now I'm back again looking for a mattress that does not give me pain. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I hope someone from Stearns and Foster can make this right.

It has a smooth plush top that has amazing comfort. After sleeping on it a few nights I noticed I no longer had back and body aches. It felt like it was really sleeping on a cloud of pillows. The overall quality is completely lacking on this mattress; there are pulled threads hanging off all over the pillow top and around the seams where the pillow top is sewed on, and there's at least one (that I've noticed so far) small hole in the fabric - absolutely not up to the level of quality you'd expect for a $3000+ mattress or from Stearns and Foster. And I'm not talking about a thread here or there, there's at least a dozen that I counted before giving up counting...they're literally all over the top of the mattress; the mattress was purchased brand new and delivered about 3 weeks after it's build date on the legal tag - can only assume this is a quality control problem. Functionally the mattress is comfortable and supportive except I notice myself sinking into the pillow top to a level I didn't perceive in the store - not a great sensation for me personally.

I should have done better research. I don't think this is the best bed for my back. My degenerative disc disease has only gotten worse. I guess I just had a lot going on at the time and wasn't thinking as clearly as I should have when I purchased it.
