The overall quality is completely lacking on this mattress; there are pulled threads hanging off all over the pillow top and around the seams where the pillow top is sewed on, and there's at least one (that I've noticed so far) small hole in the fabric - absolutely not up to the level of quality you'd expect for a $3000+ mattress or from Stearns and Foster. And I'm not talking about a thread here or there, there's at least a dozen that I counted before giving up counting...they're literally all over the top of the mattress; the mattress was purchased brand new and delivered about 3 weeks after it's build date on the legal tag - can only assume this is a quality control problem. Functionally the mattress is comfortable and supportive except I notice myself sinking into the pillow top to a level I didn't perceive in the store - not a great sensation for me personally.

I must say that it came at the right time. I'm currently recovering from surgery and waited until it was safe enough for me to switch out my old mattress with this one. As soon as I laid down, I knew that would be the first night I got a decent amount of sleep since coming home after my procedure. With my old mattress, I was constantly trying to turn over due to the springs being extremely uncomfortable which wasn't a good idea for someone who was in pain. I love the Fleur de Lis design on the mattress since it's a symbol that represents my home state. I really like how my body "sinks" into the bed especially after a long day BUT I do wonder if it will hold up after some time has passed. This concern could simply be due to the mattresses that I'm use to so I will definitely pay attention to it. If I had to choose a different type from this company, I would go for the Lux Estate Medium because of the added materials which are perfect for people like me who could really use the cooling cover and Tempur-Indulge Memory Foam. For the price, I would've never been able to purchase it myself, but I would certainly recommend it to people who can afford it. I have terrible low back pain and on my old mattress I'd wake up in excruciating pain and have trouble getting up out of bed. With the Stearns and Foster mattress I am sleeping better and waking up in very little pain. I definitely recommend this for someone with back pain.

I received the mattress and it seems like it already has sinking. It was not this way in the store. I put something across the mattress and you see where it is sinking already! So tired of this happening! I haven't had this mattress but 4 months. You can make this situation better if you use this information. Needs replaced!!!!

We owned an S&F king size luxury firm pillow top for 9 years and when my back and knees gave out recently, we decided to purchase the estate king size firm tight top mattress. After just 2 nights of comfortable, excellent support, we feel this is a reliable, well- built mattress and recommend it to anyone with arthritis and/or back problems due to advancing age.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for my teen and he loves it. The support it offers is incredible and he no longer has an achy back in the morning. He does a lot of sports and the firm mattress is just what he needed. The mattress height is higher than his last so it took a bit of getting used to (especially for the pups who love sleeping with him), but it actually made a better view to his tv so he was very happy. Overall, a very well made mattress that will last us a very long time.

I should have done better research. I don't think this is the best bed for my back. My degenerative disc disease has only gotten worse. I guess I just had a lot going on at the time and wasn't thinking as clearly as I should have when I purchased it.

I wanted to love this mattress. It honestly has the best support for your back and hips. I wake up with no back pain which is amazing. This product would be a perfect mattress if it wasn't for one major flaw, and that is that it sleeps HOT! And I mean HOT. Ive tried blowing 3 fans on me, have purchased a cooling mattress cover, and I am also using a BedJet. It still feels like my entire body is on FIRE! I used to sleep through the night, now I wake up 2-3 times from becoming overheated. I am waiting out the 30 days then I am going to exchange this at MattressFirm for a BeautyRest. In my opinion they have much better cooling technology. Stay away from this mattress if you at all are sensitive to your own body heat.
