This workbench is solid. The butcher block top is heavy and very well built. The weight of the box alone tells anyone that its not cheaply made. The drawers surprised me because they are ball bearing, so they will last and can handle the weight of almost anything you can put in them. They also come with drawer liners pre-cut. The only gripe I have is that the power strip is very cheaply made and its difficult to plug stuff into it.

This bench as well as all Seville products I have in my garage are top notch. They are easy to follow instructions and are built very well. The wood top is so nice on this, I do not want to mess it up. I will have to wait for the first scratch. I just cant bring myself to do it. I did mount a vise on it. It accomodated it well. I would definately reccomend this and the other Seville products. It really makes the garage look nice.

I purchased this workbench when it was on sale for $129 -- and that included shipping! I don't believe I could have purchased the lumber to make the 70 lb., solid, 1.5 inch thick wood bench top for that. This is a solid, well built workbench that is as functional as it is attractive. The two drawers are rugged, come with protective mats, and can accommodate heavy items. The amenities like the built-in fluorescent light, power strip, metal "peg board" (with a variety of hooks provided) are great touches. This bench is a bargain even at full price!

Super disappointed when I assembled this and when inserting the drawer into the track, ball bearings spill out of the back of the table. Now my drawer is broken in my brand new table. I used to work at a cabinetry company, so assembling drawers is something I am extremely familiar with. The metal is also flimsy, but I guess you get what you pay for. I was so excited reading all of these reviews to be the guy that gets the defective item. Oh well, hopefully the company will do the right thing and replace it.

I ordered this online not fully knowing what to expect. I have been disappointed in the past when ordering online because you don't get a "feel" for something unless actually experiencing a "hands-on" approach to purchasing. The quality of this workbench is exceptional - solid as a rock and just plain gorgeous. I almost don't want to do any actual work on it in fear of marring the finish of the wood. The drawers are solid and they glide smoothly on the roller bearing tracks. The description probably mentions this (I missed it) but the pegboard is metal and very solid. I would buy this again in a heartbeat if I was in the market for another workbench. IMHO you will not be disappointed should you choose this bench.

Shopped around for workbench was far and above all others for value and Construction ,heavy duty construction lite and plug strip,steel pegboard all included ,extra with other stores.only problem was some pieces were dented not sure was from factory or fedex.highly recommend!

I was looking for a small workbench to put in my basement storage area. I had seen this work bench some time ago but had resisted buying at the normal $200 price. When it was featured on the Black Friday specials I decided to buy. The product looks great, is stable and solid and assembled easily. I'm glad I bought it!

This bench is perfect for use in the Hobby Room, as well as for a small workbench for the shop. This bench far exceeds my quality expectations, both in materials and looks. While the shipping carton weighs in a a solid 120lbs, because it is so expertly packed, with plenty of styrofoam padding, and each part is in a plastic bag to help prevent scratches, though being so nicely powder coated, I can't imagine it getting scratched, it is easily opened so you can tote the parts individually if needed. The parts are all labeled with both the part name, and any directional info needed for assembly. The directions are easy to follow, and the parts fit together perfectly, it even comes with a bag of one each of the hardware. The bags that contain the nuts and bolts, as well as anything else needed, are clearly marked. Oh, it even comes with a magnetic Philips screwdriver, and a wrench with an open end as well as a box end, and they are the ONLY tools I used for assembly. While it may be nice to have someone help with the assembly, I was able to put it together entirely on my own, in about an hour or so. The work surface is made of real wood that is laminated to form a butcher block like 1 1/2" thick, nicely varnished work surface. The peg board is made of steel, not the brown junk sold at the big box home improvement centers, and it comes with a nice assortment of hooks. While this may not hold up to having an engine or transmission dropped on it, it is perfect for light to medium duty shop work, as well as for using in your home. Do not hesitate purchasing this bench, you will not be disappointed. I honestly see this bench lasting for my lifetime, and beyond.

It took several hours to assemble, but the bench is well built and the instructions were very clear. Every piece was labeled, with directions on where the front or top was. It was easy to level in my uneven garage, and makes a great 4' x 2' work area. When I saw it at Sam's, I made a note to buy it when it was under $150. When it was on a black Friday sale, I bought it, used the pick it up at the Club option, and that went flawlessly.

Perfect size and easy to assemble (all the parts were there and the components had stickers with the names of part and arrows pointing in the direction of assembly). The materials were high quality, from the screws to the panels to the bench top. Loved the fact that nuts weren't needed for the screws. Assembly was made easy with inclusion of the two tools needed to assemble the bench (magnetic screwdriver and wrench). The only downside was a little mismatch at the ends where the sheet metal was bent... an eight inch mismatch meant it couldn't be assembled to another piece (it happened on two different components). A hammer helped fix the problem, but that shouldn't be necessary. Overall, it's a five star product (on a scale of 1-5, 5 being highest).
