Good coffee

I have using this decade for years, and the last two boxes I received have the new look, and they smell and taste awful! I actually used for a couple of mornings, and each time I drank it, I had gut cramps and diarrhea! Something has happened to this once incredibly good coffee!!!

Contrary to the "Premium" in the title's tagline, the coffee itself tastes just about average. There was nothing special about the McCafe blend. However what blew my top off started when I heard a popping noise inside the Keurig machine towards the end of the brewing process - I'm guessing just about when the machine forces steam through the K-cup. After the brewing ended, a closer examination revealed that the top of the K-cup became unglued thus causing the coffee grounds to be dispensed into my cup; it was not a lot, but enough to be annoying. This happened about 4 times out of 100 which is higher than the zero times I experienced with the Member's Mark brand. This is the primary (and only) reason why I wouldn't recommend this product, especially when there are better performing (and tasting) alternatives.

Excellent product

The coffee is great. But they should be more careful in the packing. I just opened this box today and as I carried it into my kitchen I looked like Yosemite Sam trailing gunpowder. There were coffee grounds everywhere. I opened up the box to find damaged pods. Cracked, edges of other pods had pierced the tops of pods. So I lost about six pods. Could have been worse I guess. But some of the pods don't even seem to have any pressure in them as normal, those tops are flat. Which means that coffee may be stale if there's a pinhole or pin crack somewhere in the pod which would amount to another roughly 10 pods lost.

Better than Starbucks

The decaf premium roast K-cup was disappointing. It was very weak, like drinking coffee flavored water. I purchased this a couple of years ago at a local store and the strength of the coffee was satisfying. Perhaps, since then, the amount of coffee in the k-cup was altered. Just a thought.
