The pineapple chunks in this mixture were not ripe when they were processed. As a result they are very fibrous and hard, like chewing on a chunk of wood or bamboo, with no flavor. Every small bag included in this large bag had the same unripe pineapple chunks. As a result you would try to chew the crunchy pineapple chunks and eventually spit out a stringy glob of pineapple. You could tell by the color they were not ripe as they were almost white in color rather than yellow.

My husband loves taking fresh fruit to work, and this fits him. Perfect portion for him!
