This is really low quality pulled pork-full of of fat/gristle. It's a lot of work to make this edible(seperating and cutting out the fat), so even if you clean it up, it isn't worth it. Very disappointed members mark would put out such a poor quality product. At least my dogs liked it.

I was expecting this to be tasty and good, I was wrong. It is really not edible in my opinion. I do not recommend purchasing this unless you like wasting money. Sams club needs to get a different supplier to make their barbecue. Most of the other members mark products are very good. They missed on this one!

I used to smoke my own pork shoulders and pull them for sandwiches and had it all down pretty good! Then I tried the 2lb pulled pork offering at another major membership club that starts with a Cost and ends with a co, and was amazed at how it smelled and tasted exactly like having smoked it myself. Fast forward now I am a Sam's member as they are close and I have to try this. It's shockingly different than anything expected, smells awful when heating it up, like canned spam, and then the quality of the meat when separating it all it just no good, you will need a LOT of good seasoning and sauce to make it taste like a good bbq sammich. What's extra disappointing is after my initial package I got an email saying there was a quality issue with a product I purchased and 'sorry about that', so after awhile of the product being gone from the shelves when I see it return I think it will taste right now! Nope, exactly the same. Whoever the Sams buyer is on this, this is a simple product that is easy to get right, I would suggest picking up a 2lb package of your primary competitions offering, and compare them, it is night and day. Please get this one right, from any number of sources.

I froze it after I purchased, let it thaw in the refrigerator for 2 days about 2 weeks after I bought it, then reheated in a microwave. Meat was not "pullable" despite their instructions. Chunky, gristly, meat that could not be pulled with 2 forks. This meat clearly needed to be cooked longer for the shredded texture we love about "pulled pork". Will never buy again.

Did NOT like the taste

I’ve gotten this many times over the years. One of my favorite Sams club products. However I purchased and cooked it this week. It was horrible, in every way. Out of the package was discolored and smelled off. I went ahead and cooked it, I don’t like the smell of most meat before cooked so I figured I was just being weird. After cooking I smelled so bad. Even with sauces. I took a tiny taste. Also tasted bad. I don’t think it spoiled, just bad product. I see by other reviews in the last couple months this is happening a lot. I hope sams pulls the rest from the shelves and gets a new batch produced.

Disgusting!

I purchased this to have on hand for a "just in case" quick meal. The need to utilize the pulled pork came on Saturday. I warmed the meat as directed, which was a very simple process. The aroma of smoked meat was so tantalizing that our guests came into the kitchen to get a preview of the entree. Our guests raved about the luscious smoked flavor.....and living in Kansas City, we all know good barbecue! The meat was very lean, full of flavor and a wonderful main dish to serve to guests. I will definitely be purchasing this again!
