Love these salads!

The salad was expired

It’s good for what it is, quick, easy and simple lunch on lighter days. But it is very inconsistent…some packages have a lot of chicken, some have like no chicken…but that was doable because the lettuce was always fresh. However, my most recent salad bowl was a little too fresh….found a bug in it and after that I couldn’t eat it. I know that it happens, and it’s natural, but not looking for the extra protein that way…

I'm not big on salads but I wanted something quick and grabbed a box of tacquitos and needed something else to go with the tacquitos and I came across this salad and the southwestern salad. I thought what the heck, why not so I grabbed both. The southwestern salad has some things in it to make it flavorful but this one...oy!! All it is is a bunch of lettuce, a few strands of cheese and chicken samples you'd get if you were in the store tasting samples. It comes with ranch dressing....ranch....This is still my favorite dressing but I thought caesar ranch would come with it. No, it does not. Not only does it come with ranch dressing, the packet is smaller than the packet you'd get with the southwestern salad. All that lettuce...You most definitely will get a LOT of lettuce. It taste like nothing. Not enough dressing, chicken, or cheese for my taste. Plus it didn't even come with croutons and I'm not a fan of croutons either. It just tasted like one of those meals where you're on a diet and they leave out the flavor...yeah, that's how this is...flavorless salad. Good size portion but small on the flavor.

On the fence on these. The lettuce is fresh and the dressing is tasty but I am not a fan of the chicken in these salads. Not sure why it grosses me out. I feel like its fake chicken and if I look at it too carefully or closely I definitely throw the chicken pieces out. I bring an extra piece of protein I made the night before to add in this for lunches at work.

Hubs is always bored with sandwiches since he has to eat on the road. We tried these as an alternative and they’re great. If you have extra chicken, maybe croutons, tomato, whatever, we always put that little bit in. Great product at a great price.

Great lunch at work! The lettuce is crisp, the chicken full of protein, and the dressing is tasty.
