I buy this on repeat similar to pollo loco

Purchased this a few days ago. Needed something to add to my meals but not heavy on calories (watching my weight). My curiosity was growing, would it be any good? As soon as I got home I grabbed a tablespoon and popped it open. I gave it a quick stir and popped the spoon into my mouth. First impression was humm ..oh maybe this was a mistake? You can definitely taste the tomatillo. Kind of a sour taste with hints of cilantro and avocado coming through after a few seconds with a tiny bit of heat. I thought, maybe this is not for me. I put it back in the fridge and debated whether to take it back or try mixing it with something in the slow cooker. Within a few hours I gave it a second taste. This time I knew what to expect in regards to taste. Oh!! This is kinda tangy but good! Needless to say I have been waking by the fridge every couple of hours and grabing a spoon full. I made carne asada tacos and added this and my husband loved it no need to add lime to his tacos. I just made frijoles de la olla (pinto beans slow cooker on the stove) and put some in a bowl with a spoonful of this salsa and it's amazing! I highly recommend!

I just picked this up at my local Sam's Club and was completely happy with the freshness and TASTE of this appetizer. It's not too spicy, yet not too heavy. Great with veggies, tortilla chips and even over a couple of scrambled or fried eggs. I hope Sam's will continue to carry this item. Highly recommend.

I love this stuff! It's not guacamole and it's not really salsa, more like a dip or a spread. If you're not a fan of cilantro, you probably want to avoid this. It has the creaminess of avocado, a distinct taste of cilantro but not too much if you're a fan of it and just enough heat at the end to know you had something a little hot. Great with eggs, I've added them to scrambled eggs and to deviled eggs.
