Sturdy when completed

Great building for the money, easy to build it just takes a little time to assemble, check to make sure you have all parts bags and hardware before you start building read the instructions before starting, I built it myself without any help in about 8hrs. Build a 4x4 frame and use treated lumber and plywood for the floor or a concrete pad.

Perfect Shed for my needs

I'm real happy with the quality of the shed It's well made,Solid and strong.I had the shed installed by the service company hired by SamsClub.A strong young man came out and had it put together in a couple of hours! He did a great job!I'm glad I had it installed I'm going on 70 and it was 104 the day it was installed, best money I ever spent! The company that installed the shed is a class act! You can trust them. I had a great experience ordering the shed on line, picking up the shed from my local Sam's Club curbside pick up.And hiring the company to install the Shed for Sam's club. It all worked out like clockwork! Lifetime makes a good shed!

5 Hour Assembly with 4 People; Videos Helpful

Excellent Product. Took 5 hours to assemble with 4 people. Many portions can be split up into groups and worked on simultaneously. For example, while two people work on the left door, the other two people can work on the right. WATCH THE VIDEOS (links in instruction manual). COMES IN 2 BOXES. Be sure to get BOTH boxes and verify they are the correct ones. It would be helpful if the parts themselves were all labeled. Some are and some are not. But the packaging is labeled and we did not have a problem. Goes together nicely if you follow the instructions and have a level foundation. Also, note that the shed does come with a floor, but not foundation. We used cinder block and gravel and it turned out nicely.

Great shed with deal of a price!

What an awesome shed. But the two boxes were massively heavy. Walking them upright like a domino worked to get them to the backyard without carrying them. The directions were well written and although I did not need it, there is a QR code to watch a YouTube video showing exactly what is to be done. The metal parts are not marked so paying attention to the drawing of the part is critical to get the right one in the right orientation. The plastic bags of parts and plastic parts are clearly marked and easy to get the right ones. I followed the book EXACTLY, and didn't skip steps and everything went fine. I recommend using a socket ratchet whenever you can instead of just normal wrenches. If using a drill driver make sure the clutch is set to a lower torque and then finish it off with a screwdriver. I did 90% of the assembly by myself even though it recommends 3 people. I spent about 3-4 hours the first day getting the trusses, walls, and doors prepped. The second day was about 8-9 hours. I did have help with holding the roof panels in place and shifting the supports so things line up so I could put in the screws. The fat screws were not going in fully so I pre-drilled a small hole so the tip of the screw would fully tighten down. When doing this extra care is needed to only drill through the inner panel and not through the exterior panel since they are clam-shelled together. Only a few goofs. oops. Giving the option of where you want to place the window was perfect. The back wall shelf really helps to make the structure more sturdy since it ties 3 of the walls together square. There are plenty of places to put extra wall hooks when needed. Lining up the doors went easier than I thought even though it was way off. I had to use 3 of the 4 provided shims. About a week later I got the lag anchor screws and fender washers to secure the shed to the wood 8x10 deck and it took less than 10-15 minutes. Needless to say I was exhausted after this build, including the week before when I built the wood deck itself. My yard starts to slope a lot so I needed to build it to be a level support. It was nice putting my mower in my new shed instead of getting it down in the basement for the winter.

Great shed!

This shed is terrific! It was pretty easy to build just by following the instruction manual carefully (look at the illustrations closely so you get all the correct hardware and have pieces turned in the correct direction). Best to have two people, so 1 can hold things together while the other one attaches pieces. Can be built in one day. Held up well through a big summer thunderstorm, stayed dry inside. Definitely recommend this shed!

Lifetime 8'x 7.5' Outdoor Storage Shed

We purchased Lifetime 8'x7.5' from Sam's Club. I'm 72 and my wife is 71 yrs. old. The 2 of us, from start to finish, put it together in 6 hrs. While watching a couple of You Tube videos, we would follow along with the directions, before we started. Everything went smooth, till we started putting the roof panels on. When trying to line up the panel, so the tit fit into the slot, on the truss was the hard part. I found using a welding vise grip was the ultimate saver. Just align the tit over the truss, put a block of wood on top of the roof panel and use the clamp to press it into place. Just do your homework before you start and you'll be so happy with your new shed.

Lifetime? shed

Be prepared to spend a tremendous amount of time assembling. Bags are not marked well, instructions are so so. We had to review both the book AND the video. Also, the model displayed in the store seems to be an older model and is sturdier than what we got, especially the base. I would not buy again.

Just ok

It was ok for the price. It took my husband and I 1 day and 2 afternoons (13 hours) to put this thing together. This is our 2nd time putting something like this together. The last one we got was from Lowe’s and it was a lot more sturdy and easier to put together. This one feels cheaply made but we will see how it holds up. The instructions were straight forward and not overly complicated. Overall I think it should last.

Take something for stress before assembly!

On assembly, parts didn’t line up correctly. Every step was difficult. Most of the shed seems cheaply made with less than steller materials. When finished, the right door did not line up and wouldn't shut. After hours of frustration i went home and watched a you tube video from the manufacturer. It seems this is a common problem and is solved by shimming the floor upon completion. Mine was put together on a level concrete patio and still required a lot of shims on one corner to make the door close. When the company makes a video on how to correct a common issue you know its a built in issue. If it were a cheap plastic shed, i guess it would be at least easier to swallow. This shed, however, was not cheap. Turned out to be a Thousand Dollar pain in my side!

We apologize about the frustration with parts not lining up correctly and the difficulty you encountered. Regarding the issue with the right door not aligning properly, because the shed is made of plastic it does require a perfectly level foundation. Even a slight amount of unevenness can affect the alignment of the doors. We do acknowledge that this is a common issue that some customers encounter. Shimming the shed is the most effective fix for this. That's why we created the video as a resource to assist in resolving this specific problem. We receive feedback from many customers and use that information to create helpful resources like the video to address common assembly issues. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us at reviews@lifetime.com.
