We've used these 1600MPR type filters from Filtrete for several years in our 1400 sq foot, 2-story condo. It does a good job for its intended purpose as near as I can tell. Although I'm not able to see allergen, bacteria and viruses, I do always see a discoloration on the pleats when I change-out the filter at 3-month intervals.

Rating is not based on scientific analysis but based on observation and long-term use. The 1600 MPR appears to substantially reduce as claimed pollen, pet dander, smoke, bacteria and viruses. The latter two elements cannot really be determined. Changed every 2-3 months and the amount of collected debris in the filter is supported of filtering.

I believe they work. Have the 1st of the pack we purchased in my handler now. I can't speak for the way they are supposed to remove odors, mold, dander, etc..as they say they do, but I need to replace my filters once every month as required by my property management company so I got these. With the price we paid its about $10 a month. I am good with that!

When I saw these on sale at Sam's, I immediately went down to stock up. They clean the most miniscule particles of dust, debris, and other particles from you recycled air, and add years of life to you HVAC unit by preventing this particulate from getting caught up in your coils.

These filters work very well & keep my house & vents very clean! No allergies either & priced a bit high but lower than at other places. I date them & change every 3 months. Once I vacuum cleaned them to reuse once and they held very well for over 6 months!

The filters themselves are good. The delivery, not so good…..one corner of shipping box was smashed and wet when received. Filters inside had corner damage and were wet. I live far enough away from Sam’s that I decided to use instead of trying to exchange…. Dried them out so should work okay.

I have used Filtrete filters for years and they are consistently effective in pulling pollutants out of my home leaving it much more fresh. With droughts and dust a real problem this year the allergy causing agents are plentiful and everyone needs to use the higher grade filters for easier breathing!

Seems to have only a few less pleats as a 1900 limited info out there on these but I'm glad to have a budget option that seems to perform well and let's the HVAC unit breather easier. More pleats equal better air flow and less static pressure for your system when it starts to get dirty. Less stress on HVAC units

My friend recommended these filters and I'm very happy using them. The air is a lot cleaner; I don't have to change the filter out for 3 months. I highly recommend, although pricey, it is definitely worth the money. Also, they have a reminder when to change out filters.

We had a difficult time locating the Ultra Allergen 2X Bacteria and Virus Filters in the correct size (18x20) for our furnace, but finally found them online from Sam's Club. We are grateful for the ultra-allergen / 2X bacteria and viral protections provided by the 3M Filtrete Filters. We also appreciate being able to shop online at Sam's Club even though we are not members. Wow!
