We bought TWO (2) of these beds to replace our 13 and 15 year old daughters' worn out spring mattresses. Of course, when they 1st laid down on the bed, they said it was too stiff. However, after a few night of quality sleep - they are NOT complaining. In fact, they said they liked their new beds... So for the parents of these girls, we give these beds a 5 STAR rating :-)

If you are not allergic to this type mattress then it is an excellent buy. Not long before ordering this, I bought a Carswell Serta mattress from Sams. It is wonderful! I wanted to try the Foam for a twin in our spare bedroom so ordered this one. All was well until we couldnt get the smell out of it and laying on it I found that I got headaches and felt bad. Had to return it and luckily Sams had just added a Twin Carswell, YAY! Returned the foam to our Club for a No Hassle refund and the Great Carswell is on the way. Love dealing with Sams, wont buy foam again though.

We purchased this bed for our 3yr old. She started sleeping through the night since we switched from her old crib (toddler bed) mattress to this new mattress. I couldn't believe how much more sound she sleeps now. I was really just looking for a good value and "comfortable enough for a kid' type of mattress, but it is way nicer than I expected. We are very happy with it.

It's a really good mattress for the price. We got it because our son was complaining nearly every day that his back hurt when he woke up. It weighs 33 pounds, so be ready for that when it arrives. Depending on your stature, you might need someone to help you carry it. The one drawback on the whole thing is that, well, it smells. Really bad. It has a strong chemical smell and allowing it to air out for a couple of days didn't help much. We're putting some fabric softener sheets in there to try to help buffer the smell a bit. Hopefully it'll fade on its own but it would keep me awake at night. Our son doesn't seem to mind.

My son loves it, says it's so comfy. Love these mattresses!

The thickness changes by about 2 inches at about the halfway point from the feet to head section.
