I had an original firm mattress and was worried the new tempur wouldn't live up to old one. I got the firm one and it seems comparable to my original in firmness (or very very close). Thank goodness cause I love this mattress. Not used to the chill coating but put thick mattress cover to to try and prevent cool. Still some cool but I'm ok. I love my mattress.

I started out with an adapt medium hybrid and switched over to the pro-adapt soft during the trial period. I am so glad I did, and just sorry I didn't go with this in the first place! As a side sleeper, the first mattress was too firm for me and I had a lot of pressure points on my shoulders and hips. This one has been great from night one! I fell asleep very easily the first night and only woke up once. I didn't think much of that until I actually got out of bed that first morning. For the first time in at least ten years I had zero lower back pain! And as I walked to work that morning I realized I had more energy than I've had in a long time. I didn't even realize how poorly I'd been sleeping until I got the Pro-Adapt Soft. SO, SO happy with this purchase. Mine is still a little firmer than the one in the store, so I know it's only going to get better and better.

AFTER deliverymen set up bed and we made up with new linens, we discovered registration form required serial number from a tag on underside of mattress on headboard side. My elderly wife had to completely strip and take off the mattress to find it. The tag should be more accessible or the delivery process should have done this in advance. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the adapt medium which was too soft for me and slept hot so I upgraded to pro adapt firm, it's A lot cooler and the sheets don't sink in and move around.. I noticed the beds do off-gas and need to air out for a few days. Final conclusion- the bed is outstanding it contours to your body the way it should and yes you can still sleep on your side. I look forward to getting off work every night now. Thanks Tempur-Pedic!

I normally do not do reviews but this weekend, we visited the Frontenac store in Ladue,MO. Corinne- our sales associate was awesome. From the time we arrived and explained we were trying to learn about their beds, their bases, she took it from there. Had great questions from both of us, wanted to understand our sleep regiment and from there began demo process on various mattresses and bases. Great experience. We have never owned a mattress like this before and can't wait to experience it. Corrinne made this a great experience and it was a true pleasure working with her. We left there Saturday, talked about it and returned Sunday. Had a few more questions, tested bed again and guess what- made the purchase.Thank you for everything you did for us as I would highly recomend her to anybody in the St.Louis area that is ready to make a change in their mattress but maybe their sleep style to receive the best night ever. I needed a new mattress. I purchased the Tempur-Pro Adapt Firm. Long story short. No more back pain. sleeping like a baby. Do yourself a favor get this mattress if you have lower back pain. I could not believe that changing my mattress would change my life. Get the base also. It is worth every penny. Sleep comfort is so important. Run and get this mattress. You will not regret it.

Before we purchased this mattress, I would wake up after about 3-4 hours with very sore hips. I don't have that anymore. I sleep through the entire night very comfortably. We bought the split king and really like that we can roll around and not disturb the other person.

I'll be honest, the first week on this bed had me nervous that I didn't make the right purchase. It felt much more firm than the models in the store. I was finding my self tossing and turning and waking up stiff. However, after doing some reading online, I discovered that the mattress needed time break-in and for the Tempur cells to breath. For the first couple of weeks when I was changing the bedding, I let the bed sit "naked" for a few hours, and would even unzip the Tempur cover. I found this made a big difference in the feel and softness of the mattress. Within a few weeks, I was sleeping great. I have had the bed just about two months now and absolutely LOVE it! It's not too firm and not too soft - just right. And supportive too. I have been sleeping great and no longer have the back pain I was experiencing on my old mattress. Would highly recommend!
