After trying out these mattresses I instantly knew Tempurpedic was the way to go as I could see myself sleeping comfortably on this mattress for years to come. Tempurpedic wins over it's competitors the feel, different cool/heat options, and material are top notch. Pair a mattress with some Tempurpedic pillows and you won't ever want to leave your bed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are still comparing our new tempur pedic to the Sleep Number which we had for 10 years. So far , we love that we can move without affecting the other person. We also love that there is no "no go zone" in the middle! Wow! My only con at current is that we purchased a medium firmness. It seems really firm. We didn't want a sink into softness mattress... but, perhaps we should have went a bit softer. Perhaps we will "Adapt"!!!! LOVE our Cloud pillows!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying three other less-expensive mattresses, we finally shelled out for a Tempurpedic. Even then, though, we were only so-so about it, until we bought an adjustable base (not TP) to put under it. Not sure why, but that made a huge difference (it was previously on a slatted platform). Now, we're really happy with the mattress... feels great.

This is my first memory foam mattress. It's ok, I seem to be waking up with a sore lower back which I didn't with my pillow top. Maybe it just needs some breaking in? I do love the adjustable base... makes it so much more comfortable when reading or watching tv in bed.

I have never loved my mattress. This mattress is worth every penny. I struggled with hip and leg pain for many years and was contemplating surgery. This mattress has given me back the ability to sleep and dream again. It's literally been years since I have slept throughout the night. Thank you Tempur Pedic. I will never go back to the other expensive mattresses I have purchased. If there were ten stars available, that is what I would give this mattress.

I had slept on the original Tempur-Pedic mattress for 19 years and wanted a similar feel and support. The Adapt medium provides that. I didn't have a problem with the old mattress being too warm so I didn't opt for a cooler mattress- so far I have not regretted that choice. I am a big guy- 6'6" and 250 lb - and a side sleeper. I continue to evaluate it knowing I can exchange my mattress for a cooling one during the trial period. The adjustable base is wonderful- great way to watch movies.

So I must say, when we first got our mattress it was definitely on the more firmer end. My first night sleeping on it I got a little disappointed. My sales rep Zach, told me it would get softer and had a break In period. I was a little worried at first that we bought the wrong mattress, and online there is a lot of mixed reviews about the mattress being "broken in". I did love the feel of the tempur adapt comfort layer on top. Compared to laying on other tempurpedic mattresses, the adapt had a great feel. Plus it's cooling which was a bonus. I do sleep hot and I do not with this mattress. So in store the mattress was considerably softer that they had on display. Given our first impressions of the mattress we had delivered was a little disappointing. However about 3 weeks into sleeping on it, I notice a difference in feel and the foam has softened up. Honestly, it's just the right amount of support, not too soft. It feels closer to what we laid on in store. I'd say it's a true medium feel and you do sink in just the right amount that it doesn't feel like you're in a hole. I don't wake up sore like I did with my previous spring mattress. My only complaint is that I wish the mattress was a little thicker. It's 11''. My husband is about 230lbs, and he does sink more into the mattress, so I'm hoping overtime he continues to get the support he needs. We are more side sleepers than anything and we do get support but it's most comfortable on our backs. Especially, with my husband being heavier, he doesn't feel as comfortable on his side like he does his back. After sleeping on the mattress for about 3 weeks, I've rolled onto the center of mattress where no one lays to test the difference, and the foam is definitely more responsive and soft! We are happy with our purchase and enjoy our bed much more! It's a peace of mind knowing it's a quality and supportive product. No more waking up sore and stiff. Occasional aches, which can be due to just sleeping funny or not the right pillow! We are happy and the mattress will soften a bit over time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dealt with significant back pain for years and have been through a few different mattresses. The Tempur-pedic is by far the best I have tried. I was skeptical at first and didn't really believe a high end mattress would help much with my back pain. Boy was I wrong. I've had this mattress for 5 months now and it has helped my pain substantially, and now that I am pregnant with my second child I am extra thankful for a truly comfortable bed. It conforms to my body relieving my aches and pains, without making me feel like I am sinking. I honestly don't know how I went without a Tempur-pedic all these years. Absolutely worth every penny!

We have had the bed for a month. I find it-well-meh. My husband really wanted the Temurpedic mattress. He likes it. I find that it is like sleeping on an extremely overpriced board. To me the mattress is hard. When I am sleeping it does cradle me but then I turn over and am stuck in a rut. I can not transition from back to side with out climbing out of the hole I am in. Would I return it if I could- absolutely. Is it worth the exorbitant price-not at all. I could have spent far less and been happy.

The mattress is very comfortable but the top layer is extremely slippery! We had deep pocket bed sheets and since this model is only 11" the top sheet slides around A LOT, which is very annoying. Wish we would have known that beforehand and we may have opted for the thicker 12" option. We are considering returning but don't want to go through the hassle. :-/
