I have waited a few months to provide my review to allow my body and mind to adjust to the huge change. I was previously using a very cheap pillowtop mattress. After 3 months, I can say this is the most comfortable mattress I probably could own, unless I get a few tax brackets higher and find a gold plated cloud some how. My one issue is how I am a hot body person and sleep hot compared to most, I need the AC to blast to keep me from sweating at night because the temperature of my body is held by the bed very well and it is a little hard to stay asleep sometimes for that reason. For hot sleepers, I would recommend another option. As far as the softness, I got the softest option. I was hoping for the most lux feeling with having back support simultaneously. This went pretty well for me so far, but again, the softness makes the bed conform to your body, so when you have the fluffiness around the edges of your body, you are getting insulation from the bed, and that free heat may help or hurt some! I don't like that aspect but I keep AC high anyways because I'm very warm blooded. I haven't had any back problems since getting the bed and adjusting (adjustment took a week or two, body was sore to the bone while getting used to the new mattress). I was having weekly back problems from a car wreck a few years ago. I think I hit the nail on the head for the most part, but thinking back, I would have gotten a slightly-more-firm option than SOFT.

I defiantly know this because we were given a tempurpedic. firm mattress by accident and it was a terrible fit for us. When we got our hybrid it was amazing to sleep on. Also love the fact I can't feel when my 2 large dogs jump into bed or feel my husband toss n turn! Definitely a smart purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We slept on an old, lightly used traditional guest room mattress for over 10 years that was given to us when we got married. This is a completely different and improved experience for us. I sleep on my back with wrist braces on and rarely turn side to side. I was having back pain each morning and would awaken early due to how uncomfortable the mattress was. We decided to finally bite the bullet and buy a new mattress. When shopping we came across many hybrids but when they told us that tempur-pedic was the brand recommended by doctors for people with back problems I was sold. Why not get the mattress I might need in the years to come anyway- its like wearing orthotics in your your shoes. We went for the hybrid model to have a little more structure to the mattress but got the more expensive version of the model we were looking at to get the few more inches of foam and I think it was worth it. Hopefully it may make our mattress comfortable for longer (that is our hope). I no longer wake up multiple times a night due to back pain or hearing the springs move and make noises when my husband tosses and turns. We both sleep much better. I no longer look forward to taking trips and having to sleep on a different mattress, because now I love mine and I know that nothing will match it when we travel. It's actually a great feeling to know that your best sleep is the sleep you have at home a majority of the time. I do recommend the 5'' bed base, the 9'' was too high and we would have needed a stool to get into bed. I really wanted a 7'' which is my one recommendation to temper-pedic but the 5'' feels natural for us when getting in and out of bed for people our height (5'6"-5'10"). We have had the mattress for 4-5 months now. We would definitely buy it again.

I believe that owning a Tempur-Pedic mattress and pillow that is the right one for you is the key to achieving a restful night sleep and pain free. I no longer have to go for a biweekly massage that, oftentimes, only causes more neck and back pain. What is so wonderful about my Tempur-ProAdapt mattress is that it contours to the shape of my body. There are times when I do not lay my head on my Tempur-Pedic pillows, and that is absolutely fine too if you ask me. So far, I own two mattress from Tempur-Pedic and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to last me more than 20 years. With care, weekly laundry-washing, and the soft touch of Tempur-Pedic bedsheets and pillow covers, I know for a fact that IT IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF ME! I've been using this for several months now and as a result the back pain and problems I have experienced have been Reduced to the point where I'm not in pain most of the time unlike before now. So I can undoubtably say the Tempur-pedic pro adapt firm mattress has improved the quality of my life.

I had bought inexpensive mattresses and they were too soft, or too firm, or had springs right in my ribs. I could not believe the difference the TempurPedic made. I was skeptical spending so much, but this could be the best purchase I've ever made.. seriously I sleep with no pain, and wake up refreshed and ready to go. I would encourage anyone to test out the style they like and make the investment.
