I have Ankylosing spondylitis and this medium mattress relieves the pressure points in my back, neck and hips. Perfect amount of firmness as well. I also have the adjustable base, and the zero gravity setting is amazing. I sleep much better as a result.

We ordered the medium hybrid Adapt mattresses based on trying them at a store. After a month we realized for sure that we were used to and wanted a more firm mattress. The exchange process has been a challenge. Through the whole order process and exchange process we were twice charged the wrong amount. The first time has been corrected but not yet the second time. The mattresses themselves are comfortable just not firm enough for us. We had been sleeping on an original Tempur-Pedic mattress that is 14 years old and still good. The folks have been courteous and friendly. Just the process and the charging system needs work so the correct amount goes through the first time.

I can say the quality of my and my husband's sleep has truly increased. We selected the medium support mattress and have no regrets at all! We absolutely love it! It provides the perfect balance between semi-firm support and plush comfort, which we totally love because it truly combines the best of both worlds. We don't feel like we're laying down on a wooden plank or about to sink into a pile of cotton, the balance is simply amazing. We have also been enjoying the cool to touch technology and now I have actually been able to sleep through most of the night since I'm not tossing and turning due to heat uncomfortability. And last but not least, the pressure relief comfort layer has helped ease so much of the back pain, along with other aches and discomforts that we had been dealing with on a nightly basis. The tightness and aches that I have been experiencing! I'm been dealing with a lot of tightness, especially on my back and around my hips ( I'm 4 months postpartum), and these have definitely improved since I started sleeping on our Tempur-Pedic mattress. We highly recommend getting one and can definitely see ourselves purchasing some of these mattresses for our little ones in the future! Finally found the right mattress for cervical/thoracic/lumbar relief for proper rest that I've been looking for. Not too sinky soft, not to stiffy hard but just the right balance to literally cradle my body to get a restful sleep. Great for post cervical spine surgery. Of course the adjustable smart base does make it all that much better.

The best thing about the TEMPUR-Adapt Medium Hybrid mattress is that my wife doesn't feel anything when I toss and turn. I'm a restless sleeper, and I tend to move around a lot during the night. With our old traditional box spring / mattress set-up, every time I would fidget, she would feel it. Our new TEMPUR-Pedic mattress absorbs my moving around and she gets to continue with her blissful slumber. Also, I'm a tummy sleeper (when I finally settle down), and this mattress was rightly recommended for this type of sleeper. This is our first foam mattress, so I'm still getting used to the way it "hugs" me and the "sinking in." I might have preferred a firmer option, but I'm not willing to give up on this new experience so quickly. Finally, I can only wait till summer to find out whether this is a "hot" mattress. We bought this in Wintertime, so that's my biggest worry right now.

It was just "good" for the first 3 weeks... And after the break-in period I feel it is excellent now! I went through multiple mattress trials (not tempurpedic).. And I had to return them all. This is by far worth the money. I am a customer for life if this holds up over time. I have only had the bed for 5 weeks ..so time will tell! :) My husband has ruptured discs in his back and feels it is firm/supportive enough... And I am a side sleeper that needs enough cushion to sink into without creating pressure points or losing support. We are both really happy with it :)

I had the original 7" mattress when they first came out and I loved them then and I continue to love them now. I did develop some back problems through the years when I didn't have a Tempur-Pedic. Now I'm back and I can feel it getting better night by night. Otherwise it's just a quality of comfort you have to experience.

No pressure points and very comfortable. I wish it absorbed more body heat - I get very hot at night and have to change positions a lot to stay comfortable. But most of the mattress is very cool so I can get cooled off quickly once I change positions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress replaced a Nectar which replaced an older sagging foam mattress. The Nectar is also rated as a medium firmness according to various mattress review/advertising sites but it conform to your body much like a slab of concrete does. I've been dealing with lower back pain for several years now and with the Nectar I could only lay on my back and would wake up with more stiffness and soreness than I had before going to sleep. The Tempur-Adapt has been amazing for my back regardless if I sleep on my back, stomach or side. When I go to sleep with a sore back from overuse I wake up with zero pain. Waking up pain free more than makes up for the cost of the mattress.

We have an Tempur-Pedic mattress that is over ten years old and still love it. So we did not hesitate to buy a new one. However this mattress is not for us. The mattress support is inconsistent making it feel lumpy. We almost feel like we are slumping towards the middle of the bed. We have concluded that it is too soft as we are mostly side sleepers. We will be returning it.
