Our Radiant Mint toothpaste works by removing those surface/extrinsic stains, but isn't able to reach those intrinsic stains. As with any teeth whitening product containing peroxide, when gel comes in contact with gums, it can cause temporary whitening, sensitivity or soreness. We recommend that you stop using the Whitestrips for a few days, until the gum irritation goes away, then start again after a few days by wearing only one upper and one lower strip a day. This should minimize future gum whitening or irritation.
