I was concerned that the noise from any generator would bother my neighbors, but this generator is so quiet it won't disturb anyone (quieter than a distant-sounding lawn mower). I hooked up a 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner and then tried an 1,100 watt microwave, and this generator handled them each with no problem. Even though it weighs about 100 pounds, the wheels and handle make it easy to move around. It also isn't too large, which is nice for storage in my garage. The remote on/off feature is nice and the unit starts up easily with it. I live in Northern California where PG&E now shuts off power temporarily when there is a threat of fires during red flag conditions. It's good to be prepared now, in case that happens in my neighborhood in the future. I am pleased with my purchase and have already recommended this generator to others.

I recently purchased this generator and it would not run. I had to remove the carburetor and clean it out. There was corrosion in the bowl and the jet was clogged. Maybe my model had been sitting for some time causing the corrosion. It runs now, but still doesn't seem to be smooth and runs a little rough. After getting it running it does seems to be a little louder compared to similar generators. Now its not job site loud and it will suffice, but I was expecting just a little bit quieter.

Gas shutoff is easy to access. Included instructions were clear on how to convert the generator to a floating neutral

Wouldn't run after all initial start up steps were completed. After some YouTube investigation, found that the electronic choke connection separates often during shipping. It was disconnected and a ground cable wasn't connected and there was a loose bolt just hanging out in the bottom of the case and the battery was tipped on its side. Someone shouldn't have to mess with a brand new generator for 4 hours to get it running. It's running now but not smooth and it's not that quiet.

Igen4500df worked well for two years. Remote electric start was one of the key reasons for purchase. It’s quite, delivers power well and is decent on run time. Unfortunately the electric start quit working about 18 months into ownership. I always keep it plugged in and checked the battery which has 13.4 volts so that’s not the problem. Just submitted a warranty request so hopefully they can resolve the problem.

Just arrived today. Filled w/oil and gas and tested. Battery, remote (out to 90 feet) and pull starter worked perfectly. Powered up an air compressor and the iGen4500 easily handled the initial surge and then idled down as needed to maintain power level, i.e., it worked exactly as advertised. And, it runs quiet! Adding up all the features, this generator is a real value. I am 100% satisfied.

The iGen4500 has met my every expectation. It is well built, quieter than expected and runs my 15000 BTU RV air conditioner, hot water heater, 20 cubic electric refrigerator, all lights and still power to spare. The remote ignition is a bonus. I am thoroughly satisfied.

We just purchased the iGen4500 as we camp a ton over the Summer. Got it home, pulled out of the box, followed the setup instructions and BAM it was up and running. We can power almost our whole camper with this generator and love that its super quiet and has the remote starter!! Will definitely recommend to my friends and family

Bought this for my boat and I continually get comments about how quiet it is, which is very important when you are out in nature. Had a little trouble at first with one of the internal gears sticking but it hasn't been a problem since. Also, it only shuts off when I turn off the fuel which takes a few minutes but is not an issue. I like how solid it is and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I purchased this unit to power my camper, but the day it arrived we had an ice storm and the power went out. I poured in the oil it came with, some gas I had laying around and fired it up. I ran extension cords into the house to power my coal stove, fridge and tv.
