Just bought the IGen 4500 generator and very happy so far. Packaging was good. Instructions for start up was good. Nice to have the funnel and oil to add right away. Battery was a bit weak but managed to start it after three attempts. Nice charger supplied for the battery. Pretty darn quiet. I'm looking forward to powering up my camper for bow season in Wisconsin this next week.

Bought this after a recent hurricane extended power outages to be ready for the next one. Quiet, compact, portable, decent output and simple to operate. Only one minor issue on initial set-up.The engine cover had one screw installed so tight from the factory I stripped the head trying to remove it. Had to drill it out to remove and install a new nut insert and bolt.

We purchased this product for emergency outages. Thankfully, we have not had to test it yet. However, I am very pleased with the components and ease of movement. It is very heavy and has a leveraged handle so it can be rolled anywhere, even for someone who does not have much upper body strength. The accessories included the oil and other needed components. We purchase the fuel that has a long shelf life so we are ready for the next emergency. Our son has the exact same equipment and has successfully used if numerous times with awesome results!

After reading many reviews for many different brands of generators, I decided to go with the Westinghouse iGen4500. I know people claim they have trouble with the choke or the unit is damaged on delivery but I did not have any issues with it. B/c I read all those things tho, the first thing I did was tear it apart in my shop and check for damage / loose bolts / poor electrical connections / signs of replaced parts / etc. I found nothing out of place and the unit seems well built. I have since put 20 hours on it during weekend trips in the last 2 months and everything seems in working order. It is one of the quietest units on the market in my opinion. Had it sitting 2 feet from the RV and couldn't hear it over the noise from another generator 50 yards away. I haven't had to deal w/ customer service yet (knock on wood) so I can't comment on that. Just be diligent; break it in properly, replace the oil after break-in (replacing the spark plug can't hurt either) and treat it right. It's a small engine and small engines love to take advantage of those who don't treat them right. Oh, and the remote start will get you a lot of "man, that's cool. wish I had that" kind of comments.

Got my iGen5000 a month ago and I've put 15 hours on it so far. Works just as advertised, and I love the key fob start/stop. Only problem is the fuel gauge consistently reads about 40% the actual amount of fuel. Other gauges in the data readout that use the fuel gauge also affected.

I've only used this product a few times in the time that I've owned it and I love it. Its nice and quiet and doesn't seem to use a ton of fuel while in use. To be fair I haven't even come close to making it put out all of the power its capable of but that time will come soon now that its getting warm out and ill be using it to run my A/C in my RV. The only problems (1st World) I can think of as of right now is that the remote start is very laggy and sometimes doesn't work at all. Another thing that concerns me is not knowing if the generator also charges the on-board battery while its running. I couldn't locate this information in the owners manual. So that for me brought it down from a 5 star to 4.

I bought this for a backup for my camper if we are boondocking. Also wired up a receptacle on my house with an interlock switch on the breaker panel to power up my house when we experience power outages. This unit does everything that you would expect it too. Very easy to operate, my wife is very comfortable in starting it and running it.

I bought the iGen4500 after weeks of research. My priorities were the most power with the lowest noise. When the generator arrived I started per the instructions right away and was blown away by not only the quality but it was more quiet that I was expecting. I can run my 15000 btu Rv air, the refrigerator and microwave all at one time. I’m so glad I went with the 4500 watts. I have access to other 3000 watt generators and this 4500 watts monster is quieter than the EU and Briggs even at 50% load. I’ve already told my closest friends to go buy this generator.

My iGen4500 was just delivered last night. Not happy with the Jerk who dumped it on my door step upside down at 7:30 pm and didn't knock. I had some concerns about it being damaged and wondered if it would start after being upside down. This morning, I filled it with oil and gas and one light touch of the starter button and it fired right up. Quite compared to other generators I've had. I plugged in my surge protector for my RV and got a green light. I'm looking forward to using this with our new camping trailer. A little heavier that I anticipated.

I bought the Igen 4500 a little less than a month ago. I am extremely happy with the features and the performance of this machine. I had some questions about machine operations and I used the chat option to have my questions answered and it was quick and easy. I'm looking forward to a very rewarding summer on the road and having the option of staying in campgrounds that do not have electric.
